Pros Great story, character development, monster roster and Acromage.
Cons Old graphics, very poor soundtrack.
Recommended it? Yes

A note to everybody who was disappointed with this game - had you played all the games in the series, you would have known what to expect. You would have known that Might and Magic comes in trilogies, which use the same engine. That means that the technical quality of the game deteriorates from the... Read full review »

Pros almost anything and everything about it. ;)
Cons none really... needs a decent vid card for best performance.
Recommended it? Yes

it's a good game. anyone who likes rpg's and says different is an idiot. it has a great story line and is entertaining as hell. i've been playing the m&m saga since i had my tandy 1000, and i still love them. it could use more races, but even still, the almost limitless items highly make up for it... Pros Great ideas, versatile
Cons Kinda grainy graphics
Recommended it? Yes

This game is the best RPG that I have ever played, it is the most addictive game that I have ever tried, no wonder 3do has been drawing out this series, they are some of the most fun that some people have ever had. The characters can evolve in many different ways, and with tons of different skills... Read full review »

Might & Magic VIII: Day of The Destroyer is a title that some people have been expecting for several months now. As it becomes available in stores 2 - 3 weeks from now we figured we would give you an inside look at the "Golden Code".

MM7 - An excellent game!

Pros Excellent interface, storyline, gameplay
Cons Skills system makes progress difficult
Recommended it? Yes

I have played all other M&M games and I did enjoy M&M7 quite a bit. It was a vast improvement over Might and Magic VI in playability. All keyboard controls were re-assignable, and several options were added to enhance game play, such as the Always Run option, plus support for 3d cards such as the... Read full review »

Pros Great music & character screens, Arcomage sub-game is great!
Cons Repetitious battles, poor graphics, and weak plot!

UPDATE 7/22/00 (SEE LAST TWO PARAGRAPHS!) What is D and F??....Disappointing and frustrating! I really should preface this review by telling you that I came into Might and Magic VII AFTER finishing Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast. Therefore I cannot help but make some comparative... Read full review »

You wait, hiding in the bushes, then, he sees you. Red, glowing eyes, and a club in his hand, he lunges at you, in hopes of taking your belongings!

You pummel the goblin into the ground, and turn the tables upon him. This is much like Might and Magic VII. The game, set in a world and time... Read full review »

Pros Pretty graphics.
Cons Repetitive
Recommended it? Yes

The Might and Magic series seems to go in evolutions.. The first ones used the same basic premise (Think Bard's Tale/Wizardry interface), even though it got considerably prettier as the series progressed. Then they switched to a more 3-D interface, with the ability to see monsters coming (No more... Read full review »

Pros Adequate graphics, good character system, fun
Cons Might and Magic 6 already had all this
Recommended it? No

The answer to the question posed by my title, and probably by most prospective buyers: not much. Go read my review of Might & Magic 6, as basically all the same things are true of this game. If, like me, Might and Magic 6 was a lot of fun for you, but small flaws got in the way and in the end you... Read full review »
