Basic webcam
The Lifecam VX-3000 is functional basic webcam, somewhat let down by a weak microphone and a bloated software package that could use some work. It’s worth the $20 I paid for it, but I think it's overpriced at anything near the full retail price.

Just bought this camera at Comp USA for under $30 after rebate today and installed it in minutes. Easy install, easy set up, good picture quality even in darker environment. Software lets you adjust brightness,hue etc. Would highly recommend. Read full review »

Didn't work with Windows 2000
I bought this to use with my laptop. My laptop has Windows 2000 and doesn't have enough horsepower to run XP. This camera won't work without XP.
The fine print on the box says: "For a Windows Based PC."

Web cams are a lot of fun, so of course I had to try this one out. It’s fun to share photos with other people online and to talk with them as well. Web cams can help you do all of that including helping you find a date! Go figure! Definitely worth the investment! Will bring you years of fun!
