Garbage!
For the price we paid, this is the biggest piece of junk we've ever purchased. How do I hate this dishwasher?
Let me count the ways. Terrible design. Bottom rack cannot hold anything deep, which might be okay if you could put even a cookie sheet, etc. on it. Beware!!! Fresh squeezed lemon!!
Purchased in August 2003, on the third repair already. Every three months the unit stops draining and gets louder and louder. Have had 2 new motors, 2 new motherboards, new pump and control panel as of March 2004. Maytag will not replace it. Read full review »
save your money
Bought Maytag's Jet Clean II 8600 to replace an older portable Maytag that worked fine. Went on Maytag's reputation, this was a big mistake. The machine didn't wash well, left residue in the tub and food particles on dishes. The rack system seems to be more of a gimmick than actually useful.

waste of money
We bought ours about 2 years ago. It started having problems almost immediately, and has not stopped. We called service and they wanted $165 just to come out!
The folding separators that are supposed to allow you to change the loading pattern are broken. They no longer hold the dishes up...
