Mario Tennis (Nintendo Game Boy Color, 2001)

Designed to look and play like the N64 version of this title, Mario Tennis for the Game Boy Color features several familiar Nintendo characters in a fairly realistic tennis simulation. Some characters are available for play initially and many others are unlocked as the player achieves various goals. The player's character gains experience as he or she wins competitions and can use this to improve different tennis skills and abilities. The N64 Transfer Pack allows developed characters to be transferred from the Game Boy Color cartridge to the console and a link cable allows two handheld gamers to go head-to-head or compete together against a computer-controlled doubles team.

Mario. The ultimate mascot and cash cow of Nintendo. It seems like lately, Nintendo has come up with all kinds of different types of games, stuck Mario and a few of his pals on each one, added some bright colors, and sold them as games. And these games... well, they were really good, so I had no... Read full review »

Pros highly addicting

I am no Venus Williams in real life, but I can be #1 on the Gameboy version! This game is highly addicting. There are several skill levels, or players to beat, including the Quarters brothers (the easiest), Dewey Pond, and Ace Riley (who likes to ace). You can either play a practice game or you can...
