I've been dreaming about you, drooling over you in every magazine I get my hands on that mentions you. Oh sweet Mario… Mario…

I have been getting glimpses here and there about Mario Party 8 for the Nintendo Wii. When I first learned about the game being developed I couldn't wait... Read full review »

When my kids got into Mario Party back on the Gamecube, I didn't understand what the big deal was about the game, I mean a bunch of mini games? Big deal right? Well, I have since changed my mind since we have the Wii and PS3 in the living room, where the Gamecube was always in my sons room. I have... Read full review »

Pros Quick to learn, easy to play, fun for all ages in groups.
Cons Annoying sounds and chatty characters, can't skip through tedious intros.
Recommended it? Yes

I knew that purchasing a Wii would increase my popularity by several orders of magnitude, but what I failed to realize at first was that having the Wii is only half the equation.  The other key component is having awesome multiplayer games that people want to come over and play, and this is what I... Most of us enjoy parties, right? Whether you're talking about a fairy cakes and candles affair or the type that sees you swinging from a stranger's chandelier naked at three o'6clock in the morning, people like to have a good time. By now everyone should know that Mario and his rabble of alarmingly... Read full review »

Pros Loads of fun with friends, lots of extras, great gameplay
Cons No online play, some minigames are pretty dull, single player isn't very fun
Recommended it? Yes

The Mario Party series was always one of those series that I was familiar with, but hadn’t ever tried simply because I was interested in other Mario games. However, when a pushy sales clerk offered me a reservation for this game, I went ahead and took it. I popped this game in and played with... Read full review »

Usually my kids wake up on a Saturday morning and it's straight to the cartoons followed closely by, "What's for breakfast". Not anymore! It's all about Mario Party 8. My husband keeps telling them to play Mario Party on the Game Cube, but they never do. The kids say the Wii version is so much... Read full review »

Pros easy to learn, silly carnival, board games, unlockables, mario characters, fun twists,...
Cons long ringmaster segments, semi-annoying music, cluttered flashy graphics, can get boring...
Recommended it? Yes

I bought Mario Party 8 as part of a bundle package about two years ago when we first got our Wii. One of the main draws of the Nintendo-created system was being able to play some games with those kooky plumbers again after years of Sony Playstation-loyalty. I also wanted a game that my kids stood... Read full review »

Pros Fun minigames, a couple new modes, some interesting boards.
Cons Not fast paced enough, not much has changed since the first.
Recommended it? Yes

I must admit, I've been out of the Mario Party loop for quite a while. Ever since the first one on the Nintendo 64, I have declined every invitation until now. Why? Because the little lady wanted it, and what she wants, she gets. So, like every party I haven't wanted to go to but ended up at... Read full review »

Pros Tons of minigames, hours of fun, fun for all ages.
Cons Some minigames are kinda boring/repetative.

I've personally played this game for hours and hours. I beat it twice, and have unlocked all of the minigames. In this review I will try to run through the main game, as well as some of the minigames. The review would be terribly long if I went through them all, there are tons.
