Pros Same basic winning format, new characters!
Cons Takes very long to play a turn-based game.
Recommended it? Yes

Mario Party 3, the sequel to the sequel of the best multi-player game I have ever played (well this and Goldeneye for N64). My friends and I were addicted to the original Mario Party a few years back, and I mean addicted. Two summers ago I don't think there was a night that went by that we were... Read full review »

Pros Great multiplayer, tons of new mini games.
Cons Hasn't changed much from original game, single player is set up poorly.
Recommended it? Yes

Nintendo has felt the need to come out with a third installment of the Mario Party series entitled Mario Party 3. I'm glad I didn't buy this game right of the bat and rented it first. I would suggest this to anyone else who is interested in this game. It is better to waste 5 bucks then to waste 40... Read full review »

Pros plenty of mini games, duel boards
Cons more waiting on the computer.

That Mario Party two gave you knows it's time for Mario party 3. Nintendo hits it up again with an all-new round of Mario party, with new mini games, new characters and of course new boards.

Story.

Pros Some new mini-games are fun; a new mode is added.
Cons Most of the mini-games aren';t fun; the new mode and the story mode are monotonous.
Recommended it? No

After playing Mario Party 3 (MP3) extensively, I am led to wonder exactly what went wrong with this version. I enjoyed MP1 and MP2 immensely, but there?s just something wrong with the latest installment of the Mario Party 3. The game has a lot of minor (and some major) flaws that simply add up to a... I can remember playing Mario Party for the first time. All the crazy games, storyline, and even the incredible gameboard where your character moves around. Then, Mario Party 2 came out. I liked Mario Party 1 so much that I decided to purshace the sequel myself. That was also great fun.

Pros Now features a "file system" supported by EEPROM "battery back-up"
Cons Really just more of the same nonsense pumped up with too much "steroids"

Coming from the roots of a popular and unique idea from the geniuses at Nintendo back in 1999, popularity rose Nintendo to form a third and final Nintendo 64 "Mario" game. Mario Party 3, the last Nintendo 64 release from Nintendo is already at it's third in a trilogy and while it's not awful,... Read full review »

Pros Minigames, fabulous multiplayer mode, minigames, extremely easy to learn, minigames!
Cons The game drags on sometimes but the sluggishness is bearable.

Some fans of the original Mario Party or Mario Party 2 might wonder, "Why try to fix something that isn't broken?" Well, sure there was nothing wrong with those games, but when Hudson created Mario Party 3, it made a whole new and different game that offers gamers a totally different package from... All of us hard core Nintendo lovers have played both the first and second Mario Party games, and are probably thinking, "This one's gonna be the best of the all!" Well guess what, it's not, at all. Ya, Nintendo made a few adjustments in this sequel, but as many as we would have liked. Gameplay is... Read full review »

Pros Good Layout....
Cons Lacking some good new things.

I am a big fan of Mario Party. When Mario Party came out, I rushed to get it. It was on my "best game" list for a pretty long time. Then when Mario Party 2 came out, I also rushed to get it. It was even better than the first one. And then, another one! This is Mario Party 3. It should be the best... Read full review »

Never-ending Mario Fun

Pros Seemingly never-ending multiplayer fun with the added bonus of single player fun also.
Cons The single player mode is a little bit of a disappointment.
Recommended it? Yes

The recent release of Mario Party 3 has been much anticipated among my circle of Mario Party junkies. The recent installment has been, for the most part, just what was anticipated. For those of you who are Mario Party veterans, you will most likely love the game. Gameplay and objective are for the... Read full review »
