Mario Kart 64
Mario Kart 64 is actually one of the best racing games ever made and probably the best Kart-racing game. The game is just ridiculously, childishly frustrating. I have friends that I still play this game online with over a LAN connection and a romhack, and it's unbelievable just how unfair,... Read full review »
Mario will never be outdated!
I got Nintendo 64 for my 9th birthday and bought Mario Kart 64 two days later. I bought the game because I love Mario and racing games. The graphics are top-notch and the levels are not too hard or too easy. I have played this game countless times and always have fun playing it. The 50cc cup... Read full review »
great update on a classic
I thought this was a great game that let's you take advantage of the Wii Wheel if you want to. I ended up deciding that the nunchuk/wiimote combo was the best play controller for me (read: less challenging than the wii wheel). I kept playing just to try to unlock everything and I found... Great game!
This was one of the first N64 games I have ever owned and I still play it to this day. It's exciting, challenging, and fun!
First, the game has many characters to choose from, each specialized with their own skills and weaknesses. You can choose which character you associate with the...

Good fun
Mario Kart was the first game I purchased for my Nintendo 64 system after I acquired it in late 1998. Immediately I found hours of enjoyment playing the single player Grand Prix races. The graphics weren't anything groundbreaking then, but they didn't take away from the play at any point. The... Read full review »
Good for kids
When I got this game for my brother years ago, it was still a time when N64 was new and video games were much simpler. The first game that we had gotten for the N64 system was Super Mario 64 and that game was really fun. However, I was 13 at the time, and my brother was 4. He could only watch as I... Mario Kart 64 for N64
This game was one of the first I played on my Nintendo 64. Man was it a blast. I couldn't stop playing my brothers and friends. Nonstop fun, finding the glitches and using them, finding shortcuts and using them, all of that was just a blast. Being toad and kicking butt was so much fun! I even... Read full review »
Mario Kart Rocks!
My family hasn't yet invested in anything beyond the N64 System (lame, I know), so I don't really know too much about Wii or XBox games. After having played some of the newer games with my friends on their systems, I must say that I still prefer some of the old N64 games. This is especially true of... Read full review »
I just stuck a banana up a fat plumbers tail pipe
I downloaded Mario Kart 64 a couple of weeks ago to the Wii VC I owned the orginal Mario Kart 64 which now belongs to my younger brothers. Haven't played it in quite a while I deiced to see if it was worth the 10 bucks to download.
Now Mario Kart 64 is the sequel to Super Mario Kart for...

It's a me, Mario and you better get the hell out of my way, Woohoo!
It took awhile but Nintendo finally released the big sequel to the Super Nintendo (or SNES) classic Super Mario Kart on the slightly more powerful Nintendo 64 console. Now Mario and his less popular friends finally get out of rehab and can start racing again in full 3D this time. The big question... Read full review »
Mario should stick to his feet
What were Nintendo designers thinking when they moved one of the greatest Super Nintendo games to Nintendo 64? The graphics are good, but the whole game is based on luck, like poker. There are three settings indicating difficulty, but no matter which one you choose, the computer-controlled racers... Read full review »
Who is the fastest character in the n64 kart game?
By leaps and bounds, I think it is very clear that the fastest and most agile of all characters in N64 Mario Kart is Toad. He can accelerate the fastest and has the highest maximum speed. The princess on the other hand is probably the slowest and most pathetic character on the game. to win with the... Read full review »
A Tough game that even the 6 year old likes to play
OK. Even I have a tough time playing his game. But I did so on Pole Postion too. So give me a break.
On this game you get to choose from a few different levels. There is the 50cc round or UP. The highest setting even I have a problem with.
The higher the setting. The faster the...

Could Mario Kart go to PS2?
Mario Kart 64 is by far one of the best games that was out there for Nintendo 64. The controls, the gameplay, and the action was all there and fun for everyone to play. But could Mario and Gang go to another system not owned by Nintendo?
If in fact the rights of the game were sold to lets...

the game that brought me back to nintendo
i used to have an N64 and always used to take it round to my m8s house. It was a great laugh playing in the multiplayer made i would hang back in last place just so i could get the better weapons like the lightening bolt and use it with just one lap to go (sweet victory). if there was ever a game... short
When I first got this game, I was about 6 or 7. Back then, the game seemed hard and long. But now, I go to play Yoshi's Story (from the beginning) at 5:00, Beat it at about 5:40. So you can see, this is a really short game.
Story: 3/10 (higher the number, better story it has)
Baby...

Hey Ladies: Even this chick loves it!
Okay, look, I'm in my thirties; I have a career and a boyfriend, and I even like to go outside.... BUT this game rocks!
It is highly addictive. The graphics are just okay, I mean, it is older technology (N64) and there are plenty of newer consoles and games out there, but we have two...

This Games Stands the Test of Time
Mario Kart 64 is one game that does not get old. This game was purchased three years ago by my three roommates and myself. This is still the game we play the most. Most games after playing them for a couple weeks you get to a point where you just can't pass. This racing game never does get to that... Read full review »
