Magellan RoadMate 1220 - 3.5 in. Car GPS Receiver

This is my first GPS, so I have nothing to actually compare it to.  But I took it to a remote part of illinios, (from utah) and it got me there perfectly.  It recaulculated quickly. Worked right out of the box, only took a minute or two to find the satellite the very first time.  Very accurate.  The points of interests if you go the search by type place, sometimes it give you places quite far away; but i've noticed if you simply type the name of the place you want to go to instead for some reason it gives you much closer results.  That's a little extra hassle for some I guess, but its fine by me.  It alsway seems to be recalculating very quickly. As long as you follow the directions on the box it works just like it says it does. Announces streets names, and told us "via exit on the left" if needed on the freeway which was very nice.  I also like the graphics. It does go to night vision at times if it is cloudy, but if you want the day vision simply turn that off. Also, I simply had it sitting on my lap driving around, not even in the window and it worked just fine.
