Is the X6170 worth it?
When I purchased my Lexmark X6170, I was really only shopping for a new fax machine. But when I saw this all-in-one, which included a printer, copier, scanner and fax machine, I thought, why not? So I happily invested in this Lexmark X6170, deciding that it was a smart move on my part. How smart... Read full review »
Great as a boat anchor
Based upon this product, I would never buy another Lexmark product again. The main reason being lack of or inept technical support. Problem #1: The copier function does not copy to the extreme margins of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper ; Problem #2: the tech support personnel don't even know about this... Read full review »
So-So Printer, EXPENSIVE Cartridges
I purchased this printer because it was on sale. . .I had been pleased with a Z23 that I received for free with a computer purchase a couple years ago, and I was in the market for an All in One machine. The price was right (under 150.00), so I picked it up.
The installation was a snap. I...

Lexmark X6170C's would be great if they'd keep working!
I've had two of these in the last couple of years. The first one worked great for about a year, then the modem failed, shortly after the warranty expired. I still have it, it scans great, and prints well, except that I have frequent paper jams. I bought the second one because I figured the hardware... Read full review »
Lexmark X6170 Gets the Job Done
I bought this multifunction printer/copier/scanner/fax as needed a replacement for my aging HP710. I tried replacing it with another HP but gave up with that after 1*GB* bloatware install horror which is the topic of another Epinions review I wrote. It was so nice to install the less than 100MB... Lexmark 6170
I bought the Lexmark 6170 to replace an HP Photo printer, I still can't decide if it is a step up or not. Just a to provide a little usage history, I own a small Resume Service and I felt that I needed a printer made more for actually printing than for photos; I also felt that having a fax machine,... A really terrible printer
I bought this piece at Best Buy for $174 after rebate. It's handsome, emits a lovely blue glow and is easy to install. I was pretty pleased with the scanner. But the printing - the main intended function of this machine - is lackluster at best.
The single biggest problem I experienced is...

Lexmark 6170c is good all-in-one machine
The layout of the Lexmark 6170c is well done, although a little on the large side. Paper handling is great, with a multi-page feed as well as flatbed just like the large copiers at Kinko's. A great plus is the ability to scan multiple pages to Adobe Acrobat and save them for e-mailing or printing... Read full review »
