Recently, I lost my LG virginity when I purchased my Titanium French door refrigerator. I'm just as pleased with my second and third LG encounters with LG's TROMM washer & dryer set. In my mind, LG has come a long way in the quality and design departments.

The real eye catcher is the very... Read full review »

I'm Saving 'Loads' Of Money

Pros Large sizes, excellent manual, buzzer, stackable, steam, gentle on clothes, spins dry,...
Cons Long wash times, mildew if not careful, slight vibration on high speeds
Recommended it? Yes

I'd never bought an LG product before.  I looked at consumer reports and many other places and websites trying to find the right one for me.  I was replacing a washer dryer that was 25 years old, so anything is an improvement, but I wanted to make sure my next set lasted just as long.  My biggest... Pros Smooth, quiet, efficient, very customizable wash programs, works well.
Cons High cost, may not be suitable for all locations.
Recommended it? Yes

Like most people, I imagine, my wife and I rarely think about replacing the things that work. For 10 years we had given not a single thought to replacing our trusty washer, a fairly standard top-loading Maytag, which had served us faithfully without a hiccup. Then one day it began smoking,... WOW with some reservations.

Pros Cleanest Clothes from ANY washer that I know of. Largest capacity.
Cons Kind of loud. Does not remember the cycle preferences. Expensive.
Recommended it? Yes

First, I have only had this washer about 1 week. But doing two loads per day, that is about 15 loads - so I have a little experience. I got rid of the awful Harmony Profile (we dumped it as soon as we could, it was about 2 weeks old) for this washer. And quite honestly, almost bought the new HE5t... Read full review »

Pros Ultra quiet, steam cleaning, hand wash setting, coin catcher, adjustable...
Cons Occasional mildew odor on clothes if no steam cleaning or maintenance performed.

We've had this washer for 2 years now and were initially floored by its great performance. As time went by however, an unpleasant "feature" of this model began creeping into frequency. Occasionally, a load of laundry would develop a faint odor along the lines of mildew or something rancid and was... Read full review »

Pros Fantastic overall! Steam Fresh cycle, Super clean clothes, Quiet, Quality design, Energy...
Cons Expensive, HE detergent, Leave door open to allow drum to dry
Recommended it? Yes

This may sound strange, but I almost look forward to doing laundry with this washer. This thing is awesome! When my 15 year old washer started smoldering during mid-cycle I got lucky, it didn't take the house with it. I quickly recovered from the depression of having shell out money to buy a new... This is the best washer & dryer set I have ever owned! Yes, it is expensive but I have no regrets. LG and Korean manufacturers are really giving the Japanese and other asian mfg's a run for their money these days! LG (Lucky Goldstar or Life's Good) has come a long way since its bargain Goldstar... This is a wonderful machine. My clothes come out dramatically cleaner AND I can wash a lot more of them at one time! Not only are the clothes cleaner, but they produce less lint, leading me to believe my clothes will last longer.

I found that even before I bought the matching dryer that... Read full review »

Cons EXPENSIVE; clothes fall out when removing; wrinkles; dry seal; can't fill with wet...

Our top-loading washer died, so we HAD to get a washer quickly. Using a variety of review sites, including my favorite Epinions, the LG front loaders seemed to have good reviews. We ended up on the Cherry Hottie (with the base too) since it had more reviews/experience than the new Midnight Blue... Read full review »
