Nice dishwasher, even though I purchased another one in the first place

Save yourself the headache!
This is my second unit. LG replaced the first one because of frequent E1 errors. Now I get a different error which i can't even type because it's not a letter or a number. 2nd dead unit in three years. Ridiculous! How can Home Depot sell this junk? Read full review »
Not worth the $$$...
We bought this model from Home Depot in the fall of 2006 for about $800, to match the refrigerator we were replacing. Installation was pretty easy. Looks great, works poorly

LE error, faulty motor after 4 months
I agree with previous review that the dishwasher is quiet. However, the dishwasher quit running during a cycle with an LE error appearing on the display after 4 months. Quiet isn't everything
One of the main things we looked at was how quiet was the dishwasher -- after much researching we found the LG 5811ST was around 48 DB and the price was right around $800 for Stainless out and in.
