because ours isn't very good. I used to put 6 scoops to a 12 cup pot in our old Mr. Coffee and that was plenty for a nice, strong cup. Six scoops in this Krups is still very weak and almost transparent. For $80 I want a perfect cup of coffee!! This coffee maker doesn't even filter coffee grinds... Read full review »

How can a reputable company like Krups put out a senseless and useless appliance like this?

I am looking all over to buy this coffee maker because it is hard to find one after being discontinued, and replaced with one with a unusable timer....I have one of those and stored that one in the closet as a useless "automatic"
