I bought a microKorg and was very excited about owning it. However, over time I found that the Alesis micron was a much more powerful substitute. Intro to the MicroKorg
The MircoKorg is an amazing synthesizer. For the price usually less than $400 you will get a vast amount of sound. I Bought mine new at a guitar center for $370.98, tax included.

Pros versatile, arpeggiator, great key action, great sound,
Cons interface might be hard to use for some, sounds may be too electronic,
