My Kitchen Gourmet couldn't do its job so I went out and got this Kitchen Aid chef's chopper and what a deal!  $29 and does it work!  I took 2 day leftover chinese ribs and pulsed them until they were almost pulverized.   The other one (Gourmet) just pushed the ribs... Read full review »

Pros Great Design, Good Value, Easy to Use

I bought this with the intent to puree meals and freeze for baby food.  It's absolutely perfect for that.  Of course I've used it for other things as well and after MUCH use the blades are still sharp and still work perfectly.  It's easy to clean by hand but it's also all top rack... Pros Very handy, easy to clean, big enough, but not too big. High quality.
Cons Handy size means food must be pre-cut to fit in the bowl.

Build Quality

The build quality is as high as you would expect from the Kitchenaid name. That is to say, very good. The bowl, chopping blade, lid, cord, and instructions are all nicely done.

The chopper is very easy to use. Cut the food into chunks of a size that will fit... Read full review »

Since I enjoy cooking, I do have a lot of different tools in my kitchen ... mostly Philips tools ... but since they are not sold in the US anymore, I am now trying to get into other brands in order to complement what I may need.  In this case, I found a new recipe for No-Cook jam and the way to do... I couldn't be more happy with the Kitchen Aid mini chopper. This little gadget is such a multi-tasker, and really gets used everyday. I mainly got it after growing fresh herbs and TRYING to chop them with a knife. I found myself hardly using them because I could never get the fine chop I was... Read full review »

Pros Works great on small soft food like garlic, veggies and basil.
Cons Can't handle chewier things like sun dried tomatoes.

This things seems to last forever as long as you make sure you are clicking the plastic bowl into place every time you store it. If you don't the plastic bar that snaps it into place will wear out and the processor won't work at all. It really works well, though. We invested in another one after... Read full review »

After trying to puree things in my blender with no luck, I decided I needed a food processor. I had read that Kitchen Aid was a best bet in food processors. A year ago, I was in the market for a new mini chopper or food processor. My inexpensive Super Chopper from the Black and Decker outlet was kaput. The two-cup bowl was losing chunks of plastic every time I used it. So, I was venturing off into the tangled world of kitchen electronics.

I really love my Kitchen Aid three cup chopper! It chops vegetables quickly and easily with the touch of a button. To me it is just as mighty as a regular Food Processor, but takes up little space and has far less parts to clean.

I really hated chopping onion, celery, carrots, etc. by... Read full review »

A few weeks ago, I decided I needed some type of processor. I had started cooking more (New Year's Resolution) and, while a sharp knife and hand copper were doing okay, I figured it was time to start the hunt for a food processor.

Convenient but loud

Pros Small, easily fits in dishwasher
Cons Very loud, whiny motor
Recommended it? No

We bought this to grind food for our baby and it does a nice job of that. Unfortunately, the loud, high-pitched whiny motor scares the little tyke. The volume is oppressive and a real show stopper for us. We won't be continuing to use it.

The size is just what we wanted: small so that it... Read full review »
