A professional quality blender without the high pice tag: KitchenAid KSB5 Ultra Power Blender

The rubber finally wore out
I used this blender at least 3 times a day for breakfast & pre/post-workout smoothies. I purchased it almost 8yrs ago and it finally broke. I plan on replacing the part and using it at work. Not Durable
We bought it to "crush ice at any speed," and because it was a "KITCHENAIDE." It worked nicely for one year; the length of the warranty. Then, the drive shaft broke, again and again until all the hard plastic propeller pieces were gone.

Expensive does not mean better
This blender could not make a smoothie to save its life. While it may look nice, the main problem is, it only blends what is directly around the blades and nothing else. Everything above the blades does not move. Like an iron, opt for a less expensive brand and model. Read full review »

Quickly becomes a paperweight.
Rubber teeth on base tear off quickly. Used machine on weekends to blend smoothies. Within 7-8 months of minimal use I noticed rubber teeth starting to tear. Avoid this machine. The rubber teeth at the base used to turn the blades of this blender with wear quickly and break off. Not replaceable. Who ever designed this very flawed blender probably smokes ghanja on their lunch breaks. Read full review »
