Pros Fast, fun punk that shows Green Day evolving into the superstars they would become
Cons May be too unpolished for some
Recommended it? Yes

You might think that listening to Green Day's latest album 21st Century Breakdown followed by their 1992 Lookout! Records album Kerplunk! would be like listening to two different bands.  Actually, since Green Day never completely abandoned their old sound, it just sounds like a band that's come a... Pros Not a bad song in the bunch
Cons The sound is a little more raw than what you might be used to.
Recommended it? Yes

It’s easy as pie to pick out the people who got into Green Day before Dookie, and those who got into Green Day after Dookie.

If you like the first two albums, you probably got into the band before Dookie.  I mean, look at the one star reviews here and at Amazon, and it becomes pretty... Read full review »

One of Green Day's best records

Pros Raw sounding, emotional lyrics and very catchy songs
Cons Bonus tracks are repetitive and under-produced, but they are only bonus tracks after all
Recommended it? Yes

If you are a fan or follower of Green Day, then you've most likely heard their 1994 mainstream breakthrough album 'Dookie', which to date has sold around 20 million copies globally, and 'American Idiot', which I think is the most over-rated album this side of the millenium. Before all of this... Read full review »

Pros Everything About it.
Cons nothing i can think of
Recommended it? Yes

Kerplunk is the album that brought the attention of many major record labels including Reprise. In this album, there are 16 brilliant tracks, Tracks like 2000 lightyears away, Welcome to Paradise, Christie Road, Private Ale, Dominated Love Slave, One of my Lies, No One Knows, Android, Who Wrote... Pros One of My Lies,2000 Light Years Away
Cons Most of the rest of it
Recommended it? No

Released in 1992, Kerplunk would be the album Green Day used to get themselves to the big leagues, leaving behind Lookout and Epitaph for the big bucks of Reprise Records, where two years later they would shoot to some degree of stardom with the album Dookie. It also saw the first record with... Read full review »

Pros one of green day's best albums, it's not expensive, excellent album
Cons it's overlooked so you won't have heard of many of the songs
Recommended it? Yes

This is honestly one of Green Day's best albums. Good all green day fans, whether you are looking to bolster your collection or you're just looking for a very good Green Day album. This album has been majorly overlooked and many of the songs, such as '2000 light years away' definitely should have... Read full review »

Pros Great early Green Day songs; a prelude of the great things to come
Cons The bonus songs are beyond horrid. The bad sound quality
Recommended it? Yes

Well I was just gettin home from my nursing job when i decided to get a new cd, so I picked up this little 1992 ditty from Green Day, the band who struck Platinum pay dirt with their 1994 major label debut Dookie after signing to Reprise Records. This album was released on LOOKOUT!! records and was... Read full review »

Pros Putting this album on turns me on!
Cons Absolutely nothing.
Recommended it? Yes

Over the years, Green Day have come a long way. Each album they have released has shown progression and how much more they've matured as a band, as musicians, and as individuals. Their second album Kerplunk which was released in 1992 on Lookout Records, gives you a look into a few of their first... Read full review »

Pros Catchy songs, good melodies, fantastic lyrics.
Cons Not the best sound quality.

Can you remember the year 1991? What were you doing at that time? Were you a teenager? Were you living in California? Did you make a punk rock band with some friends and played sometimes?
Then you did the same as Green Day did that same year. Billie Joe Armstrong (voice, guitar), Mike Dirnt... Read full review »

Pros Great tracks. Lots of emotion in the lyrics
Cons Bad Sound quality. Features one of Tre Cool's songs.
Recommended it? Yes

Wow... Green Day's second album. An album that they made before they were famous. Anybody remember those days? I'll start off with the bottom line here... Kerplunk is packed with more solos and emotion than most other green day albums, if not all. Too good to be true? Well, no, but there is of... Read full review »
