Pros Powerful, ease of use and cleaning, priced right
Cons a bit noisy
Recommended it? Yes

I always wanted something better than my old 140 Watt hand-mixer so I checked out the newest (300 Watts) of the hand-held mixers. The problem with those (at least to me) was that I've never seen one used to make bread, mix icing, and do anything other than mix a store-bought cake mixes. So who... Read full review »

Pros Cheap, powerful, good looking
Cons Attachments are harder to take out, but not too hard.
Recommended it? Yes

Well, I wanted to buy myself a mixer so I started to look for what I should buy. From checking a lot of places and watching TV, I had decided that I would buy myself a kitchen aid.

Now, you must take into consideration that I'm not a professional chef, I'm just a beginner who plans to... Read full review »

Pros extremely powerful metal construction
Cons extremely noisy at all speed ranges

This review is about the Sears Kenmore 16 speed stand mixer model number # KSM100. We purchased this machine for $184 back in April 2004 to replace a light duty one that burned-out. This mixer comes with a powerful microprocessor controlled 16 speed with a 600 watt motor. When you turn on this... Read full review »

Pros Inexpensive, nice design, big bowl, big motor
Cons VERY LOUD, starts too fast and tosses dry ingredients
Recommended it? No

We were in the market for a stand mixer and had pretty much decided on a KitchenAid model, until I was at Sears and saw this unit. I was surprised to see the larger bowl, ability to use KitchenAid attachments, and very strong 600 watt motor. Still being somewhat dubious I went home and checked out... Read full review »

Pros Looks great, great attachments, good size, great speeds
Cons LOUD and BROKEN
Recommended it? No

My husband did a lot of research on this machine and the Kitchen aids. This was such a great price for what you get (speed, size, etc etc). The first thing I noticed was that it was really loud. It almost sounded like a Pterodactyl was landing on my house. I thought it was set up wrong or... Read full review »

Kenmore mixer is a good value

Pros Solid, mixes well, nice features, nice controls
Cons a little noisy, attachments go in and out hard
Recommended it? Yes

I bought my 600-watt Kenmore mixer after burning out the motor on a Kitchen Aid 325-watt. I didn't want to spend the $300-plus required to get a more powerful Kitchen Aid. The Kenmore was $5 cheaper than the 325-watt Kitchen Aid (and the Kenmore wasn't on sale).

Because of my experience... Read full review »

Pros Good price, looks great, lighter than most other mixers
Cons Very, very loud.

I work in a cake shop and I have wanted this mixer for some time. It has a 600 watt motor. It is compatible with the kitchen-aid attachments and the price was much better. It seemed to have it all. When I first got it home and started it up I was so disappointed. It sounded like a jet plane. I... Read full review »

Pros Price, power rating, features, value
Cons Painfully noisy makes it unusable without earplugs

After reading the other review on this mixer and checking prices I decided to get this for my wife for Christmas since it was on sale and really seemed like best value out there. Unfortunately at home when we turned it on it sounded like it was going to self-destruct.

The mixer made a... Read full review »

Powerful but to noisy, then broke

bybobjr94 Nov 26, 2007

Pros It was strong, and I liked the soft start, so it didnt throw flower everywhere.
Cons It was way to noisy, then it fell apart and is no longer usable.
Recommended it? No

This mixer had plenty of power but put out lots of whiny gear noise. You couldnt hardly talk over it. After 1 1/2 years of light use (1-2 times a month) it broke. The whole bottom part with the gears and where you put the mixers fell off. It has a small bolt that sheared off and is not a standard... Read full review »
