Pros Truly comfortable for the baby and the wearer; durable.
Cons Velcro leg attachments can rub baby's legs.
Recommended it? Yes

The Kelty K.I.D.S. Kangaroo pack is WONDERFUL! The pack is truly comfortable to wear for long periods of time and my son loves it. He is thrilled to be carried all over and does not fuss while in it. He is even comfortable enough to fall asleep.

Features
Baby can face inward or outward... Read full review »

Horrible ergonomics & worthless adjustments!

Pros None! If it won't carry a baby, who cares if it has a rain hood?
Cons Pathetic design! Worthless back support, rough velcro rubs baby's legs, too many...
Recommended it? No

Even though it cost less than a Baby Bjorn, this carrier was the biggest waste of money we encountered as new parents!

Forget all of the features Kelty is touting. The people that designed this obviously never actually tried carrying a child in it.

We bought this unit along with... Read full review »

Good enough for a real hike

Pros Puts the weight on your hips, not back
Cons pricey
Recommended it? Yes

Our Kangaroo Pack made the difference between a good summer and frustration last year. When our first baby was born, we had a hand-me-down front pack (manufacturer's name mercifully lost in oblivion) which was absolute torture to wear for more than a few minutes. With all the weight resting on my... Read full review »

The best for my baby!

Pros Lightweight, keeps baby close to mommy, keeps mommy's hands free to deal with...
Cons Bib is too small. Can be hard to put on alone. Instructions not detailed enough.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this carrier after my baby started to get wiggly in the NoJo Sling.

I did try some cheaper carriers, and being a large person they all seemed to tight and they dug into my shoulders.

This carrier distributes the weight onto your waist and hips instead of dragging on... Read full review »

Pros Sturdy and Light--FIT FIT FIT!!!
Cons Can be complicated to adjust
Recommended it? Yes

I am in love with this carrier! I'll start with a little backstory (pun fully intended): I feel very strongly that babies should be carried as much as possible. And I have a rather nasty hip injury from a car accident. Enter (finally!) the Base Camp! And I can get so much done now without pain and... Read full review »

Pros easy to use and put on
Cons kid gets bigger and heavier:)

This is too cool. I used this for both of my kids ( they are a bit older now...but I did use one )
I prefer this brand over the others for many reasons and the first being comfort. I found that this is much more comfortable than the other name brands I tried on. It is padded on the shoulders... Read full review »

Pros ease of use; neat design features
Cons the bib can be a lot larger, but you can easily make your own

I purchased the Kelty Kangaroo carrier when Ewan was born. He was only 6lbs 4 oz, so we waited til he was a few weeks old and 2 pounds heavier.

This is the best baby purchase we have made. I personally HATE strollers as they are so hard to bring into stores, and you always have to find the... Read full review »

Pros None.
Cons Your aching neck back shoulders.
Recommended it? No

Purchased online because of the Kelty name. Have had a Kelty backpack for 20 years now so felt this would be a safe bet.

Basic and HUGE problem: The waistbelt attaches to the frame via a strange all-in-one-connected arrangement; first connecting to the back webbing then to the shoulder... Read full review »

Good for larger babies

Pros Distributes weight onto hips/waist
Cons No sun/rain protection forward facing
Recommended it? Yes

We purchased a second hand Kelty Kangaroo from eBay after our baby got too heavy for the Baby Bjorn. The trouble we were having was a lot of shoulder strain from his nearly 20 pounds basically hanging off our shoulders. The Kelty Kangaroo has a waist belt that distributes the load onto the hips and... Read full review »
