Come on Kameo !
Pros
Beautiful colors and graphics, Nice control, good background story.
Cons
Could have been more difficult IMHO, but definitely worth a go.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Good, stylish and colourful medieval platform slasher, basher with some dark humour.
From developer Rare Ltd "Kameo: Elements of Power," is a journey of intense combat, exploration, and innovative morph-into-monster features!
Kameo is heir to the Queen's thrown but as you can expect it's not going to be easy... First she will have to save the world.
You must use her to capture, control, and unleash an assortment of creatures to rescue her Ancestors and ultimately destroy the Dark Troll King.
The Troll King is after the 'Element of Power', which is what allows Kameo to change into the various creatures. Each of which has a specific task or skill and needs to be used at particular times during the quest.
The game develops as you travel on the journey and the early levels are designe a lot like training exercises that teach you the ways of Kameo's world whilst also do battle with the baddies.
What follows is lots of slashing and bashing.. Blood and gore that just might put this beyond the younger generation of gamers who might think this is like Spyro or something.
Dragons, trolls and other nameless lumps try to get in your way. The characters are often humurous and the bad guys will even turn on each other if they get in each others way! Troll's make a nice meal for a hungry dragon!
Cut scenes are nice and not too long. I hate some of those scenes in games like Metal Gear Solid for instance where you want to skip 'cos it's a but boring but you daren't incase you miss something. This spoils the game play and ruins the momentum.
Not quite sure how to end this, probably cos I haven't quite finished the game yet !!!
