The Process is Simple: Buy KitchenAid

Pros powerful, versatile, easy to use and clean
Cons big and bulky, top occasionally recalcitrant
Recommended it? Yes

You'd think that a guy like me who's so fond of his chef's knives would turn up his nose at food processors - and, to some extent, I do. But even if one glories in the ring of fine German steel and the sensuous feeling of a sharp edge as it slices through a crisp veggie, there are occasional tasks... Read full review »

Will Grind Just About Everything except Perhaps Bones for Bread

Pros Power, Bowl capacity, Mini-Bowl, Accessory Box, Polycarbonate bowl
Cons Heavy
Recommended it? Yes

Imagine, making coleslaw with a food processor!! For many using the food processor may be the only way you've created this barbecue-season salad, but not me. I've always done it the old-fashioned, finger-scraping way (that's the extra protein). Nearly a year and a half after buying the KitchenAid... Read full review »

Finally A Food Processor That Holds Up To My Demands

bydev-n-diva Jan 6, 2010
26 Helpfuls 27 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros easy to use and clean, large work bowl, bonus small work bowl and blade, extras
Cons a bit bulky
Recommended it? Yes

I have owned five different food processors over the last eighteen years. I tend to be quite demanding when it comes to the use of my food processor and none have lasted over three or four years at most. My husband got tired of me complaining that my last food processor was to small and not very... Read full review »

Better & less expensive than Cuisinart

bynewtownbeans Nov 22, 2005

Pros Very efficient; quiet; stable; many extras; great warranty; wide selection of colors;...
Cons Taller than most machines; storage case difficult to open and stores only 3 discs.
Recommended it? Yes

I have always owned the Cuisinart brand food processors because I thought they were the original and therefore had to be the best. When my last Cuisinart, which was a 7-cup model, became too small for me I decided to invest in a larger capacity processor and found the KitchenAid 12-cup model... Read full review »

The KitchenAid Food Processor- built like a Mack truck and sounds like one too

Pros Solidly built. Comes with a lot of tools. Does many jobs.
Cons Heavy. Loud. Takes up a lot of space. Uses a lot of power.
Recommended it? Yes

My husband Bill and I have owned our KitchenAid 12 Cups Food Processor for a couple of years now, but it's only been recently that we've used it on a regular basis. We purchased our food processor at the AAFES (military store) in Stuttgart, Germany, even though it's built to American specs. In... Read full review »

Pros Looks great in chrome. Large bowl. Good build quality.
Cons Leaks badly. Extremely difficult to clean. Bowls scratch easily.
Recommended it? No

I've owned my KFP750 for about a year, so I figure I've had enough time with it to have some real perspective.

When I was looking to replace my old Cuisinart I thought I'd go high-end; I use my processor all the time, so price was not really a concern for me. When I found the KFP750 in... Read full review »

Pros Quiet, strong, able to take on even difficult tasks, just how I like them.
Cons Sharp, sharp blade, or is that a good thing?
Recommended it? Yes

I got this KitchenAid KFP750 Food Processor for Christmas, and the first recommendation is that it looked a stunningly big and beautiful present, wrapped in red with a big gold bow on top. I had chosen it myself, based on reviews and what I wanted from a processor, and I am so pleased... Agree that design is flawed

Pros Maybe Ok if you don't want to use it with liquids.
Cons Inept lid design.
Recommended it? No

Another writer here commented that the design of this food processor is flawed. I agree completely with that assessment and for the same reasons.

When I used this machine to make mayonnaise for the first time, I was flabbergasted that the mixture of egg, lemon juice and other ingredients... Read full review »

Problems with Processor Bowl and Handle Beware

bybilllaf Jan 30, 2008
9 Helpfuls 10 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? 1 Comment
Pros Excellent function for chopping, grating, dough and hard jobs.
Cons Poor durability of the bowl and handle are deal breakers.
Recommended it? No

Although this machine functions well and has a very nice capacity, my bowl has broken twice since I purchased this in 2006. Having the mechanism that starts the motor in the handle of the bowl which I have found flimsy (It really is in need of babying.) has not been a good feature. Moisture also... Read full review »

Cons spindle too short
small bowl hard to remove
handle allows moisture in

(Be forewarned: this is one HEAVY food processor. You could probably save on gym membership fees by lifting it regularly.)

This is a workhorse of a food processor. It makes quick work of chopping or blending anything I can come up with. Its large bowl capacity and high-powered engine... Read full review »
