Pros 5 speed mower, Self-Propelled, that really works

There is nothing quite so satisfying as a well manicured lawn. All the better if I do it myself, even though I am the age of most fossils.

What I can?t tolerate though is a mower that doesn?t start first time every time - hells bells, pulling that cord once is enough.

Pros Very easy to use, very even cutting

Pros Easy start, good drive train

I live in the country, with about 4/3 of an acre to mow. I've owned a couple of Snappers - lots of power, but problems with the propelling mechanism and the engines are touchy. So I did a lot on online research, and decided on the Deere JS63 as the best replacement.

Pros Starts on the first two pulls, Casters are nice
Cons Bagger has no capacity, using the bagger gets you dirty, dirty, dirty

I have had the JS63C for approx. 2 1/2 years. I researched mowers for quite some time and finally settled for this model due to the mower having casters and the John Deere name.
