U CAN DO IT
I am writing this review for my neighbor. Also I have used his lawnmower. The kawasaki engine is absolutely flawless. This machine is very nice and the motor along with it. This Johndeere mower has the best motor out , kawasaki. They also make motorcycles and theyre very advanced engines. This... Read full review »
A competent mower, but a bit pricy.
We read about this mower in the Consumer Reports lawn mower reviews and decided to go for it. It was between this or a Honda Masters series which was even more expensive. I was tired of debating which to get and decided to go pick it up. This is our first lawn mower since we just moved into our... Read full review »
Major repair required after only one season
I purchased this JX75 John Deere in May 2001, after having evaluated several other manufacturers products in self propelled walk behind mowers. I wanted to purchase another TORO, which I last purchased in 1973, running trouble free for 27 yrs. That was before all the safety mechanisms and smog gear... Read full review »
The BEST walk-behind mower made today.
Finally, my 12 year old Craftsman gave up the ghost. And I'm glad it did, because I replaced it with what is comparable to going from a plain-vanilla piece of transportation to a Rolls Royce. The John Deere JX-75 is that good. Before shelling out any dollars for a new walk-behind mower, I... Read full review »
I would buy another one.
My wife and I mow about 4 and 1/2 acres. The JS63 is used mostly for trimming and hill side mowing. We own several John Deere pieces of lawn and garden equipment and because of the good luck and parts availability for these is why we purchased the JS63. We actually didn't look too hard at any other... Read full review »
A Deere in the headlights
I bought the JS63 because it was a John Deere; you know the slogan "Nothing runs like a Deere". That may be true in most cases but it wasn't in mine. I bought the JS63 after looking at the Honda, Toro, YardMan, and Snapper. The JS63 was a little more expensive then some of the other models I was... Read full review »
JS63C - I'm starting to like this chore
?Buy the best you can afford? is a motto I have followed for some time now. Take care of your ?stuff? and your ?stuff? will take care of you, is another. I have a thing with lawn mowers; I tend to be extremely hard on them. Part of this involves doing a job I particularly do not like doing, the... Read full review »
Others try to build this mower
I have reviewed most every forum on mowers, over the last 6 months. I have checked out Yardman, Snapper, LawnBoy, Honda, Toro, and John Deere.
After reviewing the above brands except for John Deere I was going to buy the snapper. By luck a friend of mine told me to try out the John Deere. This...

Great Mower
I have had my JX75 for about a year not and I love it. It starts first pull every time. It mulches perfectly every time even when my thick St. Augustine grass if wet. It handles easily (I took a Troy-Built back because it handled so bad). Although the price is high I feel that I am getting my... Read full review »
I happen to love it!
Just bought a John Deere JS63C (the C is for Caster Wheels, otherwise same frame & engine as the JS63 - caster wheels were just $30 more -- well worth it!!!) It cut my lawn soooo much better than my 4HP Murray. The 6-8 inch grass the Murray stalled out on, the John Deere cut just fine (I tested... Read full review »
