The John Deere Workout Machine
The John Deere JS60 walk behind lawn mower is John Deere's base model. For less than $300 you can own a no frills lawn mover that is as solid and dependable as other mowers costing hundreds of dollars more. This is the second mowing season I have used my John Deere and I am very satisfied...

John Deere JX 75
I bought this mower in May of 2001 and i really enjoy mowing my lawn. This mower is quality built and will last a long time. The bagging system s so easy to take on and off no hassles . Te engine starts right up and i love the blade brake cutch, so when you have to pick up toys or move lawn chairs... Read full review »
Good mower except for transmission
Overall, I'm disappointed with this mower. It has a good strong engine; I haven't bogged down yet. It gives an even cut, and its very easy to adjust the height using only 2 levers versus 4. The major problem I have with this mower is that the transmission that drives the 1 speed self-propel feature... Read full review »
Want a walk-behind mower? Here it is.
I have worked for several lawn care programs and I own a rather large lawn of my own, so I can say that I know a little bit about mowing equipment. In all my experience, I have found that John Deere consistently produces the highest quality, longest lasting machines available for this kind of work... Read full review »
The Difference is Astounding
Back when I was a poorer man, I bought the cheapest products I could afford. One of these was a Murray walk-behind lawn mower. It looked like a run-down machine even new, but I had no choice. Of course, the Murray couldn't handle even minor complications like hills or clods, and it broke down three... Read full review »
A Pleasure to Use
I don't have much to add to the other positive reviews that have been written, except that I was pleasantly surprised to see that the mower left no grass clippings on the sidewalk. I have a corner lot with lots of sidewalk, and after having used low quality gasoline and electric mowers for the past... Read full review »
Oh Deere - grandma';s been MULCHED
I have already purchased the gee whiz self propelled John Deere Lawn Mower and oh what a dream it is, at least once I found I didn't have to run behind it - the speed is of course variable but I didn't now that at the time and of course - with my usual luck, it was set on seventy miles per hour... Fossils SUFFER in silence
There is nothing quite so satisfying as a well manicured lawn. All the better if I do it myself, even though I am the age of most fossils.
What I can?t tolerate though is a mower that doesn?t start first time every time - hells bells, pulling that cord once is enough.
Our old...

Push Mower needs a big rebate attached to the sticker price.
Well,Well,Well. Here we are at the season of smelling that nice scent of fresh cut grass.I love to cut grass. My wife & i live on 16acres and 5acres surround the house. And guess what? I love to push it! My friends and family say "Go get on that Craftsman and make it easy on yourself "....But... Read full review »
Not worth the money
I thought I was buying a high-quality mower/mulcher that could handle my lawn if I let it go for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, this mower doesn't have quite enough power and frequently gets clogged.
I am actually on my second one of these. The first died after a couple hours of use...
