Pros High quality, film-like image capture, great audio circuitry, easy to use controls
Cons ND filters not enough, too light for my taste, battery life, inaccurate LCDs.
Recommended it? Yes

I was excited to get my hands on the HD100. I have used several prosumer-level JVC cameras in the past (X2, DV500, DV5000) and I wanted to see what JVC could do with the new HDV format. I can honestly say that they have done quite well.

Pros Lens, XLR in, timecode, color bars, ND settings, component video, HD, setup options.
Cons Many settings only accessible through viewfinder, battery, no 1080p, no crt viewfinder.
Recommended it? Yes

I find this an excellent camera for someone used to working with professional video cameras costing much more. The main reason I bought this camera is because it looks and feels much like the Betacams I have used for years. It has a pro-style lens with manual iris controls on the lens and a servo... Pros it looks quit pro but works as standard
Cons people have to buy 8 batteries to do a wedding video

its a bad camera for professional user, long hours batteries are not available, once you put on the shoulder it pulls you down because the lens is longer than body and battery is too small for this kind of camera, sound cuts automatically while shooting and you get only video (with out counter)...
