I was looking for a good camcorder to tape my sons hockey games and decided on the JVC Everio GZ-MS100. I was concerned that due to taping indoors with the JVC I would end up with too dark a picture. My concernes soon left when I reviewed the video and was very pleased with the results. White ice was very crisp, great zoom, steady even when hand held and small and light to fit in my pocket. Menu use was very simple. It only took a few moments to understand all the features. Comes with fun extras like old fashion, black/white and sepia options. One of the main reasons I picked the JVC was that it had one touch DVD burn as well as one touch YouTube publish capabilities. So easy to use with no extra steps to convert video to post on YouTube. One other item for making my choice was that it also took still pictures. You can't go wrong with this camcorder for the price. The screen is very generous with a touch sensitive bar great for browsing the menu and for making selections. Play back on my TV was a breeze with great sound no "grainy" effect. So if your looking for a great camcorder for hockey I recommend this one highly. It will perform to your satisfaction plus leave extra money in your pocket for those next skates!
