The ancient art of Bellydance, known also as Raks Sharki or Dance Oriental, is gorwing in popularity throughout the world and here in the United Sates it’s become a focus of media attention. National publications including Entertainment Weekly, Time Magazine, Rolling Stone and Tongue along with numerous health and fitness magazines have published articles and news mentions about it. And during the months of October, November and December, the Bellydance Superstars, which features Jillina as a choreographer and star performer, will be touring cities across the United States. Jillina is a dancer of unsurpassed skill, a master choreographer and a professional dance instructor. The dance community has recognized Jillina’s talents with awards from the International Academy of Middle Dance for Best Modern Egyptian Dancer and Best Dance Company. Jillina pulls from a strong background in Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop and Egyptian Folklore to create a colorful Middle Eastern and world fusion repertoire.
