Great machine, but noisy
We recently replaced a Hoover carpet cleaner that we first purchased in 1997. We have had two small dogs, now on our second generation, since 1994, and with puppies in the house there will always be “those” accidents!

What's up with the bad reviews?
This is one of Hoover's Staples. Its design hasn't changed much in quite a few years. Personally, I think this is the BEST of all the Hoover models! Hated it

worked only once

Clean Carpets? Yes and No, but mostly yes...
There is a fine line between professional carpet cleaning and the rental machines at your local stores. I would say that this product fits neatly between a professional job and rental machines. Defective right out of the box
I bought this yesterday and used it first to clean upholstery. It did a good job. Then I decided to do the carpet. The brushes would not spin. I called Hoover, and they said it had to be defective. I'm heading for the store to return it now. I may try another one. I'll let you know if it works. Read full review »
Reservoir defective

cheap plastic

Excellent Cleaning machine
