Don't be cheap. Buy a better vacuum

I would not recommend this Hoover Flair to anybody who needs a stick vac that works on all floor types. This model only works on "hard" flooring and not on carpets, and even then only picks up things like hair and light sand-type dirt on the floor.

Works until it doesn't...
I'm pretty picky when it comes to vacuums. It has to be light and maneuverable, with decent suction and an easy to empty cup, and of course, it actually has to run! The Flair almost meets all my criteria...almost.

Suction Isn't Everything
I bought this vac to replace a 15 year old Hoover Stic Vac, which I just loved. It had a motorized head, great suction, and was easy to whip out of the closet for quick cleanups.

Fun but fragile
When I first got this vac, I loved it. It is very maneuverable and does a good job on bare floors and rugs. It is a little top heavy, so it's easy to drop or knock over, but it is very easy to use.

This Hoover has a "Flair" for cleaning
My trusted Hoover "Quik Broom" experienced a plastic malfunction which allowed the head continuously to fall off. I suspect it may have been dropped causing the premature faulure - whatever it needed replacing quickly.

Hmmmm. Sort of sucks I guess.
WHY DID WE PURCHASE THIS?
We have 2 toddlers and a 200 sq ft tile kitchen floor that seems to be perpetually dirty as a result. Food crumbs and wet sticky spills.
