This machine is such a great idea it is too good to be true. I loved it at first. I was so happy to not have to mess with mopping, which seems to push dirt around more than it cleans anything, but after a little over a year of using this less than once a week, the machine has stopped working as... We have a large Ceramic Tile Kitchen and Dining Room.  Once a week I pull out the floormate and clean the floors with it.  We've had it for about 2.5 years now and it works great!  The floors look amazing once they are cleaned with it and its pretty gross to see the dirty water coming off of my... Pros Easy assembly and clean up.  Uses plain water or Hoover cleaner..$4 at outlet mall.
Cons I cannot think of anything negative, except for the high retail prices.

I saw the Hoover Floormate advertised on one of the home shopping networks at $150, plus shipping and handling. The presentation was pretty impressive, but you know that some of those home shopping products are pretty cheesy when you get them home. I decided I would think about it a while, but then... I can honestly say I have tried about every floor cleaner out there. Swiffers, IROBOT Scooba, Shark, what ever, you name it, I have tried it. I always went back to the good old hands and knees. Until we moved that is. Our house now has 1400 square feet of hard floors, and there is NO WAY I can... Read full review »

Pros Lightweight, good job cleaning
Cons Handle comes loose
Recommended it? Yes

I just bought the WidePath SpinScrub yesterday, and I love it so far! It is relatively light-weight, easy to use, and does a great job cleaning. The dry vacuum setting does as good a job at picking up stuff as my regular vacuum does. Although it is a bit difficult to push when on the wet setting,... Read full review »
