No More Scrubbing On Hands And Knees For My Grandma

bydev-n-diva Nov 18, 2008

Pros extra attachments, caddy, stores in small space, works great
Cons wish the tanks were bigger and that the cord was longer
Recommended it? Yes

My mother and I both have wet/dry vacuum cleaners in our home. My grandma had been using a regular old mop and bucket forever and then going back over the floor on hands and knees because she did not like how the grout was left looking dirty. Mom and I agreed that grandma needed something to help... Read full review »

Love of Cleaning and Love of Electronics Unite

bysagefire Aug 24, 2009

Pros White sock test, fast drying, lightweight, efficient, gentle, easy-to-use, affective,...
Cons Cleaner expensive, leaks when tilted, suction not too powerful, a little messy, no light
Recommended it? Yes

If you hate scrubbing, sore backs, love cleanliness and electronic 'toys', then this spinscrub is for you.  I've looked up and researched many different kinds of mops: scrub mops, swiffer mops, steam mops, squeeze mops, foam mops, and nothing did the trick or gave me what I wanted.  My floors still... Pros Excellent cleaning on tile floors, great for cleaning up messes.
Cons Not recommended for hardwood floors, most likely will cause warping.
Recommended it? Yes

(Note: We've been using this vacuum for about a year and a half now)

Our home has tile floors on the first floor and after years of using the Swiffer Wet Jet we decided we needed something heavier duty since we have dogs (including an accident prone puppy). We first got the Hoover... Read full review »

Pros EVERYTHING, TO NOT HAVE TO MOP THE ENTIRE HOUSE IS JUST TOO WONDERFUL FOR WORDS...
Cons a little loud, could get into corners better...but other than that nothing to complain...
Recommended it? Yes

I have had my floor cleaner for a few months now and just love it. My ENTIRE 1340sqft house is hard floors, NO CARPET. It would take me so long to clean the floors before...either I would carry the bucket and mop...or I would run back and forth from the sink to whatever room I was cleaning. And to... Pros Good cleaning and wet pickup if you follow directions carefully.
Cons It's an exhausting ordeal to use, had several problems, too bulky and heavy.
Recommended it? No

Well, it seems that people either love this floor scrubber or they hate it, there doesn't seem to be much in between. I have read every review and tip all over the internet about using this floor scrubber, and I thoroughly read the instructions before starting. I think I was pretty educated as to... Best for light/medium duty cleaning. Beats mopping! Very easy

Pros Easy controls, easy to maneuver, great wet pick up, more sanitary vs. a mop. Easy
Cons Loud, expensive, grout brushes could be longer, intermitten high pitch noise impacts...
Recommended it? Yes

We recently installed about 500 feet of porcelain tile on the floor, so I immediately knew it was time to look for a hard floor cleaning machine. Unfortunately, none of the machines that I researched seemed to have excellent performance ratings. And since I wanted a single machine which had dry... Read full review »

Does a great job with much less effort than a mop!!!

Pros Relatively lightweight, easy to set up and use, great results.
Cons Somewhat noisy, refill tank more often for heavy jobs and to maintain good suction.
Recommended it? Yes

I recently bought the FloorMate SpinScrub 800 because we have probably close to 900 square feet of porcelain tile. I noticed that the kitchen tile, which was the oldest, was very dingy despite regular mopping. After using the FloorMate, the tile looked like new again!!! It is very easy to use (and,... Pros none because it can not pick up anything
Cons Unable to pick up water or dirt. Brushes do not touch floor.

This unit was defective when purchased. I tried for the first time to use it today and found that it did not work properly.

In 2002 I purchased an earlier model of the floormate that did not have attachments for cleaning in corners and around toilets. I purchased the model 800 because it... Read full review »

Cons Cheap, stiff construction of the hose and attachments.

I own a house with about 1700 square feet of bare floors. Our floors run the gambit of vinyl in the kitchen and children’s bathrooms, hardwood floors in the living room and dining room, and tile in the ½ bath and master bath.

I had been spending a lot of time and energy keeping... Read full review »

Cons Heavy and a pain to clean up after using it.

I have dark tile floors and was looking for an easier way to clean them without leaving streaks. The Hoover SpinScrub is a great product and it does everything is says it will do. The Hoover SpinScrub will wash, vacuum and dry all non-carpeted hard surfaces. Seven scrubbing brushes cover a 15-inch... Read full review »
