Love my Van
Sporty look. I have discovered what many Honda owners have come across I'm sure and that is Odyssey Envy. Love the fold down third row seat, 4 Captains Chairs, No bad seat in the van, no he's touching me from the kids, smooth competent ride, quiet interior noise, frigid A/C, fold down table that... Best vehicle for handling I've ever owned
With trepidation and hesitation I took a risk and purchased a 2000 Odyssey EX and I've never been happier. It was a significant hurdle to jump into a Japanese model vehicle, away from family standards and North American vehicles. It was also difficult to re-align my wants and must have's to fit... 154K and still going strong! RELIABLE.
We bought our 2000 Honda Odyssey used, in 2002. FANTASTIC BUY. We're at 154,000 miles and still going strong, of course. We're fans of Honda; we ran our last '91 Accord up to 259,000 miles, and sold it only because the interior was shot. You just can't kill the engine of a Honda!!!

Sets the Standard for Minivans
I am actually the second owner of a 2000 Honda Odyssey EX. The first owner being my in-laws until 2003. We purchased it from them due to the birth of my twins. A little history is in order. I have had 2 Nissan Pathfinders (a 1993 and a 1995, both great vehicles but small and poor fuel economy) and... Read full review »
Why I love my 2000 Honda Odyssey LX
This has been a great van for our family. I love the fold down rear seat. Very dependable. We tow a travel trailer with ours. It does much better than we expected. Pulls the trailer right up the grades no problem. Gas usage is the only draw back. Towing MPG are great. Around town is horrible 10... Read full review »
Total Garbage
Replaced transmission at 75000 miles and 135000 miles. Multiple problems with sliding doors.
I bought a Honda so I wouldn't have to deal with this garbage.

Meza-Meza
I purchased a 2000 EX in February 2006 with 80k miles. It had some very minor rust spots, which the manufacturer refused to repair (3-wks outside of warranty). I have recently noticed the space in which my 3rd row seat folds into is wet—more rust underneath? I've read a lot regarding if you hound... Read full review »
Be careful!!! With the Honda Odyssey
I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey and shortly after I bought it new I had transmission problems. I discovered they had bad transmissions in 2000 odyssey's in certain 2000 models in a certain Vin number range. (Mine was one of these). They put in a "remanufacured" (used) transmission". I was upset that it... Read full review »
Another One of japanese cars...
Everyone knows and realizes that japanese cars are the best ones. :) I live near Japan and I do know that. By the way, the most comfortable and simply trustworthy japanese autofirms are Toyota and Honda.
Honda Odyssey is the family car or a car for those who like to travel in secure, comfort...

Great van -- need to improve road noise
I love my minivan! I absolute love the ability to reconfigure the back seat for groceries, plants, trips, guests, diaper changing, tailgate parties etc. I love the features and functionality. The biggest drawback to the van is the bad stereo (which I can control) and the road noise (which I cannot... Read full review »
Honda Odyssey
I have this car as a lease that will expire in July of 2003. I plan to turn it in and not purchase it unless it will kill me financially.
The trunk space is indeed amazing, and I can't complain about any major engine issues. With regards to trunk space and seat configuration, there are a...

2000 Honda Odyssey's Recall Due To Faulty Ignition Switch
I'd be very surprised if your working-horse Odyssey, favorite Honda Civic, Accord, Prelude, CR-V and even your Acura were not part of this massive recall. As for my wife and me, our Honda is just messing up in the garage. Not even the alarm is working. No wonder. Are we going to get some repair... Read full review »
We couldn't be happier with this van!
My wife swore she would never own a mini-van. Then we had kids and the kids had friends and poof!! We needed a mini-van. We had a 1991 Honda Accord and it was a superb car so we looked to Honda when it was time to get a van. We went to the Honda dealer and there wasn't a single Odyssey on the lot... Read full review »
Honda VS USA Minivans.
The Honda name represent long life of pure quality, and Honda Oddesey got a lot of that juice. The performance from the V6 Engine it great, gas milage is fair, and the power sliding doors and my favorite. I test drive one 1 month ago. Its my friends but she let my drived for a week, during that... Read full review »
2000 Honda Odyssey
When we initially began searching for a mini van we decided the Honda Odyssey was out of our price range. We avoided it like the plague. We knew it was a quality vehicle, but just could not afford it. We test drove the Chevrolet Venture, Pontiac Montana, Mazda MPV, Ford Windstar and the Dodge... Read full review »
Transmission and Build Problems
The Odyssey is a well-designed mini-van but problems have been plaguing mine from the beginning. It's fun and easy to drive and is extremely versatile. Unfortunately it has been the least reliable vehicle I have ever owned.
Within a year of owning it, the transmission had to be replaced...

2001 Odyssey
Had for 9 months and put 27K miles on it. Handling and acceleration much better than Dodge et all which was a major purchase consideration. Only bug so far; loose front sway bar caused clunking.
Very good for road trips, although seats should be firmer. Cloth interior has taken a "dog...

A Honda Odyssey
I bought this Honda Odyssey in the fall of 1999 after being on a long waiting list for one. I did not even get to test drive one until I had bought mine!
I was looking for a family van and found the Odyssey to be a good van for us. Another good point of the car is that it has the most...
