A Best Selling Car for a Reason
The 98-02 Honda Accord was one of the best selling cars when new and this was for many good reasons. I recently got to spend a few weeks using one that belongs to a friend of mine that purchased the car new back in fall of 1999. The owner wanted to do a light restoration so rather than... My experience with the 2000 Honda Accord
My fiance had this car for a while and I loved it. What I really like about Hondas in general is their transition from year to year is so sleek, that even if beside a new model, the changes seem minimal. This is what gives this car a timeless look that I reallt appreciate, so you don't feel the... Read full review »
2000 Red Honda Accord Coupe
I recently bought a 2000 red honda accord coupe for $6,400. I absolutely love it..NOW. I had to put in $1,150 worth of repairs into it which is not too bad for a 10..almost 11 year old car! I love it, it drives nicely and I couldn't ask for a better car at that price range. Read full review »
6th Generation Accords are a great buy
I have owned two 6th generation Honda Accords; one was a 2000 SE and I currently own a 1999 EX. These cars are workhorses that are low maintainence and seem to want to run forever. They helped to reinforce Honda's reputation as a trouble free brand.
The Good
The cars can be picked up...

The 2000 Accord is Tougher than a Rock
The desert southwestern region of the United States often reaches temperatures in excess of 110 degrees Fahrenheit. My 2000 Honda Accord has travel more than 100,000 miles and it has never had a mechanical problem or been in a repair shop for anything except scheduled maintenance. The car has been... 2000 Honda Accord Gold.
A great starter car for the teenage driver. Easy to repair, great gas mileage, safe. Ive been in 2 accidents and have had a total repair cost of $55. No one was hurt. The accidents are repairable by the owner if you have the gumption. Read full review »
Best Car That I've Ever Owned!!!
I have the 2000 Honda Accord LX and it has been fabulous!! It rides very smooth. I guess you could say that it "hugs the road." I have over 86,000 miles presently, a total that my previous cars never reached. I always hold onto my cars forever, so I'm expecting to keep this car for many more years... Read full review »
Just OK..
We where in Texas and our 1996 Chrysler Cirrus had another massive problem.. We had enough.. My brother in law was mechanic at a Ford-Honda-Mazda dealer and after spending a day and a half looking, we settled on a new plain Jane 200 Accord LX. Not very fancy, but it would get us home and last 150K... Read full review »
Overall solid with some negatives
I've owned my 2000 Accord Coupe EX for just over a year, and put on almost 70,000 miles. This car handles great, especially with Goodyear Assurance Tripletreads all around. Just replaced all of the belts, and the engine sounds much better than it has since I got the car. Perfect long-distance... Read full review »
Pushing 150,000 miles - EGR valve clogged
I have the 6 cylinder sedan and have passed the 150K mark. I don't see too many reviews of this 5 year old car with this many miles so I'll sum up some of the repairs I have had to do. I consider almost all of them reasonable and just the cost of driving a lot of miles every day.
1) Both...

2000 Accord Coupe EXL
i bought this car brand new in May 2000 because of honda reputation for reliability and craftsmanship but also because at the time it had the best body line in its class (and beyond). for a 4 cyl, 150hp, she never lets me down in merging onto highway or quick starts. most people riding with me are... like this car better than the Volvo s 40
overall: an exceptional car, better appointed than many luxury cars I've been in.
fit and finish: very tight, no odd squeaks and rattles, feels very tank-like and safe.
interior:very clean and uncluttered, plenty of space to put stuff, generous trunk, latches on rear deck for...

I must have one of the BAD ACCORDS
The car was running fine for about 3 years or so. All the sudden, I've been encountering so much problems. Catalytic converter(good thing this was covered under warranty, up to 50,000 miles), distributor/cap/rotor(this was not covered under warranty. It's sad to see a car not even 3 years old and... Accord EX V6-Less reliable than a Yugo
We bought our 2000 Accord V6 after our 1999, caught fire in 2002. The insurance company paid off the lease and sent us $3,000. We found a repossesd 2000 Accord EX V6 for $13,000. It only had 20K miles. We bought it. The first year and half it ran great. It started like a champ, had gobs and gobs of... Read full review »

Can't go wrong with a Honda!
The Honda Accord is a thrill to drive. It's tuned to be more sporty than it's rival, the Camry. However, not as good for long drives. Powerful, functional, and most of all, reliable. Hondas will run forever if you treat them right. You could get one with 150,000 miles and it would still be running... Read full review »
My dream car with 220 hp
My family owns a shiny gold 2000 Honda Accord EX V6.
The engine is a vtec engine which means it it has a variable timing camshaft. With the V6 model you are getting a 3.0 liter engine. Not too shabby for a car in it's class. With the vtec engine and the V6 you get 220 hp.
In the...

My Accord SE...what's so "Special" though?
I traded in my gray 1999 Odyssey EX in January 2004 (after only 4 months of ownership) for a dark green 2000 Accord SE. I took this car because I got a good deal on it, the payments are low, and it's good on gas. Its got nice trunk space for my kids' stuff and fits groceries and other things very... Read full review »
Best on the Market
As soon as I saw this car on the lot, I turned around immediately to get a closer look and I fell in love. Shiny paint, a flawless interior, feature after feature, low miles, everything on this car was perfect. After test driving the car, I only had one complaint: the speakers were a little weak,... affordable, reliable family car
My wife and i purchased our accord se in june 2000. Right now it has 59,000 miles and runs pretty good. It is a reliable car with plenty of room. It has a large trunk space and nice sized back seat. Though, there are a few negatives about this car. I am dissatisfied about how the car downshifts... Read full review »
