Fast-ish, economical car, 173K miles so far!
I received a 99 civic dx coupe AUTO transmission from my mother who immediately let me drive when she bought it used. It had 162,000 miles on it when my mother bought it. The car now has 173,000 miles on it, and I am the sole driver! She bought it for me to use as my first vehicle.

The little car that could...and Does! Always.
This is the 3rd Honda I've owned, the 2nd Honda Civic. I also had a 98' Civic I loved. None of my Hondas have EVER failed me, even when I've slacked on the maintenance. Honda Civic Is A Great Car
I bought my 99 Honda Civic new in July 99.
It will be 7 years old this July.
I get 25 mpg in town and 35 on the road
The only thing I had to replace was the exhaust.
I wish I had known about Honda sooner and I
would have had to purchase fewer cars.

Good car for what it is
I drive Civic SI for weekend only car. Driven Fast & aggressively with AEM intake modification only. Car is pretty fast considering the size of the engine, but has weak steering and suspension. My 99 Honda civic was my first brand new car out of college. I selected it for it's styling and overall value. If you compare resale values, you can't go wrong with this car. 1999 Honda civic DX, Rocks!
This was my first new car. I use it for commuting to work, about 112 miles round trip per day. I have 65,500 miles on it. Very reliable, great mileage, averaging 37 m.p.g.
