Holux GR-213 Car GPS Receiver

The HOLUX GR-213 Smart GPS Receiver is a total solution GPS receiver, designed based on SiRF Star III Architecture. This positioning application meets strict needs such as car navigation, mapping, surveying, security, agriculture and so on. Only clear view of sky and certain power supply are necessary to the unit. It communicates with other electronic utilities via compatible dual-channel through RS-232 or TTL and saves critical satellite data by built-in backup memory. With low power consumption, the GR-213 tracks up to 20 satellites at a time, re-acquires satellite signals in 100 ms and updates position data every second.

Pros Low price. Small size. Accuracy. Fast connection. Basically everything about it.
Cons None at all in the three weeks I've had it.
Recommended it? Yes

I was turned on to the need/fun of GPS by a friend who had a small unit for his laptop using Delorme Atlas software. I had Microsoft Streets and Trips 2007 on my laptop, but without a GPS receiver. Pros -inexpensive -ps2 style plug with different adapters for most PDAs
Cons -need to buy seperate PDA GPS software -wires, not as tidy when installed
Recommended it? Yes

I was in the market for a portable mobile gps for road trips. I had my eyes set on the Nuvi 350 which is very popular, but that was last year when the Nuvi 350 was still quite expensive, and could not afford it.
