Easy to Use Camera - Love It!
I love this camera. I have had it for a couple of years now. It is very easy to use. It takes great pictures. It has a lot of features that I don't even use. The pictures are clear. It is easy to transfer your pictures to your computer it you choose not to use the SD card for that. The battery life... Read full review »
Good camera - but several problems
I bought this HP camera about 4 years ago. The camera has very good picture quality, and it is relatively easy to use. The zoom is a basic 3 x optical zoom, which I have felt have been insufficient for my needs on many occasions.
I must admit that although I think this camera has done a...

R707 Was A Great Value
I purchased the HP707 in the earlier part of 05' after months of comparison. Once ready to purchase I researched the price and found that this particular model was going bye-bye to make way for new 6 pixel. After days of footwork I found it at Office Depot for a mear $142. I was elated. This was... Read full review »
Starts Great-Goes down hill from there
I purchased my camera after going on a cruise with friend who had one. At first it took great pictures and worked great. Was fairly easy to use but recovery time from each picture is too great. After owning the camera a year the telescopic lens started either not opening at all to opening half way... Read full review »
Shattered LCD Screen A Fluke?
The LCD Screen on my HP R707 has shattered twice, both times without dropping or knocking the camera up against anything or exposure to any extreme temperatures. The first time, it was covered under warranty and HP sent me a new camera. The second time was 14 months after I received the new camera... Read full review »
Beware of cracked screen
I write to warn people of my experience with this camera. I am only a unit of one - and it may not represent the wider R707 experiences, but beware:
In January 2005 I bought an HP R707 digital camera. It worked well, but the screen broke for no reason in September 2005, meaning you cannot...

Great for point-and-shoot ; may experience LCD issues
This is fine to buy refurb or cheap, but even if you can get it new, I personally would pass it up for something newer and hopefully more durable.
Don't get me wrong--I love this camera's functionality and the pictures it takes. I do not love the fact that I had LCD issues, sent it to HP...

Boatloads of Features
Price for me was $0 as I got it from a rep as a seed model. Sorry...
They say that the determining factor in a digital camera is the lens. All "lenses" being equal, the HP Photosmart R707 is a great camera on features alone.
The standard features include red-eye reduction,...

A okay camera...
I bought the HP R707 in the summer of 2004. I haven't had a whole lot of problems with it since I bought it, but there are a few things that peeve me off about it. But we'll start with the good things:
It's a very sleek looking camera. Nice design. Not too bulky (they keep making cameras...

A camera for everyone
The HP R707 is one of those cameras that everyone can pick up and use because of its user friendly style and its many options & accessories available which will keep you interested. My favorite option is the built in red eye remover thats available after the picture has already been taken, which I... Read full review »
R707 Schools Most Cheap Digital Cameras.
This camera has so many options, months after you buy it, you will still be finding new features. The feel of it is Great and its Molded to fit into 1 hand. So that means you can grab the camera out of your pocket, turn it on, mess around with ALL of the settings(Buttons and On-screen), Snap some... Read full review »
Great Camera and battery life
I compare this camera with the HP 935 that I own before and smoke for a mile the battery life also has a good software, but the most impressive is the panorama picture you can take a 360 degrees is possible with this feature. Read full review »
Started out great but now...
I loved this camera to start with, in fact I had my brother get one also. But now, I am having problems with it. When I go to take pictures, they look great on the screen until I snap the shot, then they are darker than the picture should be even if there was not any flash. Also, the auto lens... HP Raises the Bar
(This is a repost of my original review, which disappeared through some epinions crack)
Once again HP outdoes themselves with their value-market but powerful technology. I had previously owned (and reviewed) the HP Photosmart 935 camera and this new R707 ended up to be a lot more than expected...

Nice little camera
I bought this 11 months ago when it first came out. I was looking for a camera that was small so I could take it anywhere. I also needed a simple point and shoot for my wife but with some features for me to experiment with.
I have greatly enjoyed this camera. I have taken some b&w landscape...

No Problems
This camera is excellent i love it the only problem that it has it that if you touch the metal body it shows your finger prints, which is annoying. But everything about this camera is perfect. If your shopping for a good 5 megapixal camera this is the best that i have found. And the battery life is... Read full review »
Great Camera - Bad Software
The HP R707 is everything that a beginning to intermediate photographer would want. Fairly intuitive controls, lots of features, great camera resolution, and simple to use for basic shots with the ability to adjust everything from lighting to resolution for complex shots. Read full review »
Overall good buy
I researched MANY digital cameras before I bought the HP R707. I got it at Buy.com for $195 which includes the $60 rebate offer. I was surprised how small it was - I'm a big guy and it gets lost in my hands. The controls are fairly intuitive. There seems to be a large delay time between the time... Read full review »
HP R707 - Value for Money
My Uncle wanted my buy a Digital Camera and asked me for a suggestion. I wasn't too sure about his budget but recommended a Nikon to him anyway. I now found out that he went for an HP R707 and got the chance to play with it.
Though not a leader in this category, surprisingly it a 4 ~ 5...
