We purchase several of these per year for our company. We never have any problem with them. They are very reliable and dependable. Replace toner cartridges once every few months. Menu interface is great on printer face, but, plus with HP 'N' printers is that they have a web interface also that... Read full review »

After almost 2 years of moderately heavy daily use, I feel comfortable recommending the Hewlett Packard Laserjet 4050TN, not just for its good print quality and its support of many different types of computing platforms and networks, but for its reliability and durability. Like most people in the... Read full review »

Pros Fast, high quality, reliable
Cons Bulky and expensive

We bought the 4050N to replace an ageing Laserjet 4 (they really were built to last). Printers aren't the most exciting of subjects so there's not a great deal to say.

It's fast - warm up time is minimal, this beast prints without a run up and output is extremely quick even with large... Read full review »

I was searching for a laser printer a couple of months ago to recommend to a client of mine. I was looking for a laser printer that is fast and easy to use. I went to the brand I have always trusted, Hewlett Packard or HP for short.

I found what I think is the perfect laser printer for a... Read full review »

Cons none that I can report

This printer is the best of the best when it comes to networkable laser printers. I've used them all...From Epson to Apple to Brother to HP, and this thing makes all other networkable laser printers pale in comparison. It's cross-platform compatibility is great, making a great solution for both... Read full review »

Yet another printer that will never die....

Let me start by saying that the picture EPinions has of this printer is misleading. The pic matches the 4050 and 4050N, but not the 4050T or 4050TN. The 4050TN has an extra paper bin which is not show above.
I must also begin by stating that my only beef with the 4050 is the same one that I... Read full review »

4050TN is a blast!

byoldcurmudgeon Sep 8, 2000

Pros Speed, versatility, networking
Cons Documentation
Recommended it? Yes

This printer is fast. Power On/Sleep Mode to first page out is less than 13 seconds. Plus, you get true 1200 dpi resolution at full speed.

So why didn't I give it 5 stars, you ask? Nothing to do with the printer itself. The 4050TN lost a star because of clunky documentation, and because HP... Read full review »

(The LaserJet 4050 is the same as the LaserJet 4000, only adding an Information icon on the printer control panel for help with feeding paper and such. I have used one and could not tell the difference from the 4000 which I own until I looked at the tag on the front.)

I purchased the... Read full review »
