Well worth the cost

Gets the job done
The HP 4050 is the best printer you can get for your money spent. My library has five and they work great. About 1000 pages get printed everyday a machine. Reliability and Durabilty
I have had five years experience using this printer with mechanical failure. The printer has printed on average 300-400 pages a day for the last five years.

Good Value
We've had this printer in the office for about a year. It rarely jams, although jams are pretty difficult to clear when they happen, the messages on the read-out are not easy to follow compared to other machines.

Just make sure you raise a litter
This is the defacto standard printer in most businesses and schools. We had at least 6 printers or more per lab back where I studied, a few at my old job, and a few more now in my current office.

A tough workhorse of a printer.
I used to work as a computer repair technician at a college campus, which used a bunch of HP laser printers. Of all the printers I worked with, the LaserJet 4050 was my favorite. They took constant student (and worker!) abuse, and rarely broke down.
