SUV of cell phones (and that's not a good thing)

Pros All in one pda/phone. Synchs with Outlook. Thousands of Palm programs available.
Cons Too heavy, short battery life, no dedicated phone keys.
Recommended it? No

I had read such glowing reviews of this phone and its looks were striking and so I thought this would be the phone for me.
I picked it up at a local Verizon store. It was larger than what I was used to (I had the Motorola MPX200 Smartphone). But it had the two things I most wanted: Verizon... Read full review »

Pros It works like a charm will buy the next one
Cons None to my needs
Recommended it? Yes

I have been a user of the Handspring Treos since the 270
I have bought my Treo 600 and I love it.

I have more than 3000 addresses at my fingertips, 600 memo files that cover almost every aspect of my business.

The camera is not a Canon but without strong lights and in... Read full review »

Treo 600 and Sprint

Pros Best PDA available today (pre-650), for the cutting edge user; indispensible tool.
Cons Still somewhat buggy software; browsing is very slow; camera is weak;
Recommended it? Yes

Got my Treo 1 year ago online with some mega rebates from Sprint and Amazon (net price = $250). Overall, I've found the Treo to be far better than lugging multiple devices around, but that comes with some tradeoffs. It doesn't really do anything better than what a single device can do. Sprint's web... Read full review »

Pros Palm OS! Good Color Screen. Great keyboard. Easy to use. Memory card slot.
Cons EVIL BUZZ in phone. Camera next to useless. Occasionally crashes. Memory card keeps...

I wanted this phone because I want both a cell phone and a PDA, but I don't want to have to carry around two devices. I first tried the older Treo 180 and 270 models, but they had their own problems (will write separate reviews for them). I wanted the Treo 600 since it came out, but waited until... A Nice Idea, Poor Implementation

byjimboz Sep 21, 2004

Pros Concept, ease of hot sync, variety of options
Cons Crashes, Mechanical failures after short term usage, Support is abusive
Recommended it? No

I have had my Treo 600 for about a month and a half. I previously owned a Treo 270 for 2 years, an adequate device, but failing on some key OS issues (read: WAY too many crashes), mechanical failures (keys and buttons), and support is non-existent.

The 600 was a great idea, but incredibly... Read full review »

Pros Good palm, nice color screen, nice to have phone and palm in one device.
Cons Serious bugs with phone, lousy camera.

I got my Treo 600 a year ago (Nov 04) because I wanted a palm pilot with a phone, period. I was tired of carrying both and with keys, wallet, glasses case, it was either consolidate or get a man purse: not an option.

I had become dependent on both my phone and my palm pilot, and the... Read full review »

Pros Impressive engineering; things Just Work.
Cons There is no modem mode, though third-party solutions exist.

An extremely impressive product.
Switched from Kyocera7135/Verizon. I lost a little bit of application data for my CarMaster, but that is a PalmOS thing, and I've not troubleshot the issue.
My wife bought a twin unit, and we successfully exchanged SMS while she was on business travel to... Read full review »

I've been using the Treo for almost 2 years. I wouldn't have kept it that long, but-for the 2 year Sprint agreement I got sucked into. In about a year and 3/4 I've been through 10 (that's right... TEN) of these crummy phones. Some of the replacements were Dead on Arrival right out of the box! The... Read full review »

Pros Great, easy to operate, good sound quality, easy menus, like the chat text feature.
Cons bad camera, needs better ringtones, needs an instant messenger program.

My dad got me this for my birthday and i remember thinking "oh my god look at all those buttons!" I never thought I would figure out how to use it. I was using it with ease that very next day and I fell in love with it. I use my cellphone frequently but having all the features that this thing has... Read full review »
