Pros Durable, cleans up easily
Cons Small food chute could be a little larger
Recommended it? Yes

Now your probably wondering why I do a lot of juicing with fruit and vegetables. First of all let me tell you when I first started juicing. I was taking care of my older brother who lived alone and was diagnosed with colon cancer. I had to go over to his home each day to give him his medication,... Read full review »

Pros Easy to use, lightweight, fast cleanup, price, tasty juice
Cons small food chute
Recommended it? Yes

Having a weak immune system, I get sick every couple of weeks. Recently, my mom talked to me into purchasing a juicer, telling me that the vitamins and minerals would improve my health. I decided to take her advice, and I purchase the Hamilton Beach HealthSmart 67800 model.

Once I got it... Read full review »

Pros Surprisingly powerful; Dryer pulp than expected with small strainer; Inexpensive; Compact
Cons Small Cutter/Strainer thus small chute; Pulp handling; Stains easily; Cleanup
Recommended it? Yes

I have been looking for a juicer for awhile because I like interesting fresh juices from Odwalla but I do not like the price. Its just juice for gosh sakes! Secondly, I got the blood pressure and cholesterol speech from my doctor an I figured the juice could help with the fruits and veggie intake... Read full review »

Nice option for less expensive juicer

bykfein Jan 5, 2004

Pros Much cheaper than most juicers & makes tasty juice.
Cons Somewhat small feed tube; a lot of immediate cleaning required; a bit of leakage.
Recommended it? Yes

I had been wanting a juicer for a while, but just couldn't justify paying $100 for a juiceman or other more expensive models. I decided to try the Hamilton Beach juicer (which I purchased at K Mart), and I think it was a good purchase. I think the quality and ease of use of more expensive juicers... Read full review »

Pros Solid, well built, not too noisy, minimum vibration, good juice yield.
Cons Small feed chute, but hey; you have a knife doncha?
Recommended it? Yes

Well, all right, not quite; but you get the idea. I checked juicers and prices for months. In view of the fact that there are as many dusty juicers in homes as there are exercise machines, this is obviously not something for an unmotivated person. I felt I needed to just get something to see if I... Read full review »

Pros Inexpensive
Cons Breaks easily, wastes excess juice, and the chute is way too small.
Recommended it? No

Don't waste your money on this juicer, it wastes a lot of juice and breaks easily. I purchased one about two months ago at Walmart and thought it was a good deal. After a couple uses I got used to the chute being so tiny that you have to cut apples, oranges, etc. into about 8 pieces just to fit in... Read full review »

Pros cheap
Cons does not suck juice out of produce, leaves clumpy wet pulp splattered,
Recommended it? No

I bought this juicer, knowing that it wouldn't extract the most juice or leave the pulp almost dry, but this thing is a POS (piece of ....), much worse than I expected. It's cheap not only in price but in quality. It has flimsy plastic parts, pieces cannot be placed in dishwasher, they stick... Read full review »

For Small Kitchens, It's Great

Pros Small, reasonsibly priced, and fast.
Cons The chute is too small.
Recommended it? Yes

I love this machine. For the price (around $30), it was just right. I have a matchbox kitchen, so it does not take up too much space. It grinds carrots, beets, ginger, any hard root vegetables with ease. You do have to stop after one cup and dump the fiber out, and clean the cutter, or it will clog... Read full review »

Pros Cheap, effective
Cons Small chute, leaks, broke easily
Recommended it? No

A friend gave us the juicer during a move. Though grateful for the gift, we can kind of see why. We'd always wanted one but weren't sure how much we'd use it and therefore had a difficult time committing money to it. We are very grateful to have been able to "demo" this one because now we know how... Read full review »

Pros Good juice, not too noisy, easy to store.
Cons Messy, messy, messy. Also wastes juice.
Recommended it? No

I live very close to an open air farmers' market where they practically give away the vegetables. Since the government is telling us to eat fruit and vegetables "in abundance", I bought a this Hamilton Beach juice extractor.

The first thing I juiced was a bag of oranges. I was shocked... Read full review »
