A must have for newer style cribs with wide railings
Pros
Easy to use, prevents teeth marks
Cons
Strip will only cover one railing
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Absolutely love this product, I couldn't find any other teething rail that covers crib rails that are wide.
What is it?
The Gummi Crib Rail is a long rubbery strip that adheres to any size/shape crib rail. It helps satisfy your baby's teething urges and also protects the crib from teeth marks.
My thoughts?
I was so happy when my son was able to pull himself to standing, but was horrified when I started catching him biting his crib. I have a Simplicity Ellis with wider railings, so the teething rails that snap on do not fit. I finally found the Gummi Crib Rail after my son had already left 30+ marks on the rail. The strip comes with an adhesive, so all you have to do is clean the rail, remove the adhesive backing, then carefully cover the rail. You're supposed to let it sit for 8 hours so that it can set.
We've been using this product for about 3 weeks now, and it really does work. My son loves to gnaw on it, the rubbery material has the same feel as teething toys. It also lets my son have a good grip when he's cruising around in his crib. The only downside I can think of is that the strip only comes long enough to cover one rail. My son has figured out to go to the sides of the crib and bite there, so I will need to buy one more package of the Gummi Crib Rail to cover the two sides.
