Great Dehumidifier!
This is the third and best dehumidifier I have tried. The other two were LG and GE 40 pint models.
The LG and GE dehumidifiers worked very well. They could fill their collection buckets with water very quickly but were very loud, generating about as much noise as the average window unit...

big disappointment
worked well for 1 year. then it dies on me. no one and i mean
no one repairs them except the manufacturer. shipping,etc.
makes it cost prohibitive for that. the warranty was for 1 year
on parts and labor. the 800# to soleus was worthless.

A fantastic Dehumidifier for apartments
I've had this for 2 weeks now, and it had no problem lowering my RH by 30% in my 600 sqr foot apartment. I started off just using it in my bedroom to get rid of dust mites. CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS ALONG WITH THEIR WARRANTY.
LASTED 8 MONTHS.THE CLIP ON THE DRAIN PAN BROKE. WAS TOLD BY MANUFACTURER TO RETURN IT TO THEM AND THEY WOULD SEND A NEW ONE FREE OF CHARGE. COST $70.00 TO UPS IT TO CALIFORNIA. YES! THEY SENT A NEW ONE. WHILE THIS ONE WAS OUT FOR SERVICE I...

So far, so quiet!
My former dehumidifier, a 50 pint unit died. I purchased this one because of it's purported quietness and, it has lived up to that expectation. My basement is about 800 square feet. Not As Advertised
I don't know how the SoleusAir 25 pint dehumidifier got such a high rating because 1) It never removed more than 10 pints in 1 day even though the humidity level in my closed bedroom started out at 80%. In fact, once the humidity level reached 50% it never removed more than 3 pints in a day or took... Read full review »
A great QUIET home dehumidifier
Because of a remodel, we had to spend much of the summer in the basement with a Whirlpool dehumidifier which was so loud you could not be in the same house let alone the same room. Lifesaver then it died.
Worked well for 2 semesters to remove moisture from my daughter's damp dorm room. This school year it worked only sporadically for 1 semester, then not at all. Unit runs, air blows, but no water is removed from the air. Very disappointed that something touted as being the best... Read full review »
