Better than iPOD?

Pros Look, headphone/player sound matching, screen, battery life, size and weight.
Cons Slightly cheap feel, format support, cross touchpad is not great, only supports Windows...
Recommended it? Yes

The Toshiba Gigabeat is my fourth MP3 player and it is interesting how my progression has gone. It started with a cheesy 64 MB no-name brand that could hold one album's worth of song to a 256 MB LG MP3 player which I still use for workouts. I wanted a high capacity player so I bought the fourth... Read full review »

Like Having 400 CDs in Your Pocket!

Pros SCREEN, PORTABILITY, PRICE (BUY USED!), SPEED OF LOAD-UP
Cons SOFTWARE & UNIT COULD BE MORE USER FRIENDLY, IPOD/STREREO COMPATIBILITY
Recommended it? Yes

I recently purchased the GIGABEAT F20 on Ebay because I was tired of lugging 4-5 CDs into the car on a daily basis. No more sorting through CDs while I mumbled to myself, "Hmmmm...what do I want to listen to today?" And I could unload the pile up of CDs in my car, stuck in every conceivable pocket,... Pros Good sound and options. Looks cool. Cross.
Cons Gigabeat Room. WMP only at USB 1.1.
Recommended it? Yes

I got this for a Christmas present. It was a great bargain considering this is the old model of MP3 from Toshiba, but if you can still find it I would buy it. I got mine for about $150.00. It takes some getting used to, but overall I like it.
Issues: Gigabeat room is simple enough to use, but... Read full review »

Cons Software is cumbersome, no USB 2 support in WMP or Napster.

This is my second mp3 player. My first player (Sandisk 512MB MP3 Player SDMX1-512) was great until it grew legs and hasn't been seen since. I thought the second time around I'd go a bit bigger so I started looking at the 20GB range. I found this player on ebay brand new for $179 ( s&h) and you... Read full review »

Amazing Battery Life

Pros Battery life, construction, display
Cons Controls are sometimes too sensitive, buttons may activate while in your pocket, etc.
Recommended it? Yes

Really great overall player, amazing color screen, solid construction (will take quite a beating, and the HD will never mess up). Most impressive of all, the 16 hour battery life. From Tokyo-Toronto on an airplane, I had the player running straight through on one charge. Great buy. Read full review »

Pros Docking station
Cons Sync software is a complete disaster.

I bought the Gigabeat MEG-F20 and instantly had trouble downloading mp3's onto it. It actually states in the handbook that the Gigabeat Room software may not even WORK on some PC's. I have a very obscure PC...a Dell, that it would not run on no matter what I tried. I was forced to use the Windows... Read full review »
