Fabulous..... when it works
I bought the Nuvi 1690 after extensive research. I had a built in NAV system in my Buick Renier. When the lease expired, a NAV system on my Chevy Malibu was not an option. It did come with OnStar turn by turn, which is great, but I travel a lot and wanted something portable. ... Read full review »
Great gadget for early adopters, Issues Exist

POP-UP ADVERTISING ON YOUR GPS SCREEN?
It's Good For: Navigation, Travel, Cars, Everyday Use, Business Garmin has made the near perfect GPS unit. The build quality and the accuracy are excellent. I've tested it for three weeks now and it simply does not fail.
