A Good Combination of Two Devices
I carried a GPS and a two-way radio around a lot when I did a bunch of solo work out in the woods. Great GPS for outdoor use
I love my Rino and use it often for both city navigation and outdoor use. This handheld GPS unit has a built in two-way radio that transmits with 5 watts of power, for 5 miles of range over GMRS frequencies and 2 miles over FRS. The Rino 130's combined communication and navigation allows you to send and receive location information from other capable units with the press of a button, and the polling feature comes in handy when you want to find your friends. Once you've tracked them down, use the barometric altimeter to find out how high up you are, or let them know if the NOAA storm warning feature has alerted you.
