Pros Battery life, color, screen brightness, functionality
Cons Sometimes TOO sensitive, directions it calculates are sometimes odd.
Recommended it? Yes

I couldn't wait for this model to come out in January 2006, and I bought one as soon as it was available. The reasons I bought it were:
- It has a base map (my old Garmin 12XL had NO map), AND you can purchase the road atlas CDs and download them to this handheld unit.
- It has a color... Read full review »

I bought this model after I dropped my GPSMap 60CS out the window of our minivan while driving about 60mph...oops! The improved satellite tracking computer is waaaaaaaay faster than the one in the 60CS. I've had this model tracking in 3D in less than 8 seconds. You can leave it on the seat of your... Pros Highly recommended GPS unit

This is the second GPS reciever I bought. The first one was also a Garmin, the Emap. The Emap was a monochrome setup and lasted me 5 years of EVERYDAY use. As a technician, I have several pieces of dedicated equipment in my truck. I used the GPS unit as a "bread-crumb" trail to let me know what... Read full review »

About a year ago I had purchased and reviewed two automobile GPS units (Garmin StreetPilot 2620 and Magellan RoadMate 700). But they were returned, as they didn't truly fulfill all of my needs.

My needs:
Portable GPS device that can provide turn-by-turn directions in one of our... Read full review »

Pros A good but not great portable GPS receiver due to a poor basemap
Cons Location, location location. If you want to see your location get ready to spend $$$$.

FIRST DAY impression. I'm pretty certain you already know all of the written specs on this GPSr.

Good: Very quickly locks satellite signals, even inside my house. The SIRF receiver technology is great. The display can easily be read in the day. Uses the same power cables as some of the... Read full review »

Pros - great reception - fast route calculation - power via USB
Cons - 30% less battery life - missing alarm clock - comic style icons

My first impressions of the 60CSx were very good. It took the device less than a minute to get a perfect fix on about 10 satellites. After another three minutes, every bar in the satellite page indicated that EGNOS/WAAS data had been received for that satellite. The receiver reported an accuracy of... Read full review »

After getting lost in the woods while riding a bike well into the sunset, the quest for GPS began the very next day while hunger, thirst, fear, frustration, cold, etc. were still vivid. The objective was to get a handheld unit that could be used for hiking or biking in addition to driving.
