The Garmin gps is a great unit for new drivers and hikers or bikers. It is small conveniant and gives an exact location to where you are and it uses regular double A's and they last forever. It also has a great indiglow light that is like the one on watches. The only things I don't like is that it... Read full review »

I cann't say enough about this unit. Being an Ecologist for a GIS training and research center has taught me a lot of things about GPS units, and especially about using them in the field. If given unlimited funds, this would be my choice everytime. First, it is extremely easy to use, and with... Read full review »

I have owned a Garmin GPS II, then a GPSIII, which I traded in for the III+ under a manufacturer's buy-back program. All have been great units - full-featured and easy to configure - and I have little to add to the other reviews, except that if you don't need a GPS now, just wait until the... Read full review »

I bought this GPS about 2 months ago. I bought it from a company who deals in boating supplies. While I do have a boat, I have more high end items on it and was planning on using this in my Jeep. Well, I found out that this one works almost as well as the couple of thousand dollar units I have on... Read full review »

I think that this is THE greatest "Gadget" that my friend has ever owned! I purchased this product for him about 8 months ago, and he's still having fun using it. I bought my GPS for rafting and kayaking trips to answer questions like "How many miles until Killer Fang Falls?" I chose the Garmin III+ for several reasons:
