Nice washer!
We bought this washing machine 7 months ago. Our other washer was a cheap low end Roper model and the matching dryer kept breaking so we decided to replace them. This time we wanted to "get what we paid for" and get a slightly higher end washer.

Motor problems after 9 months
This washing machine suddenly stopped spinning and agitating, after nine months. I contacted GE through their website and received a call from a local GE repair company. Nothing but problems - AVOID GE WASHERS
After 13 months of light use the washer started making loud clunking noises. We called GE customer service and they came out the next day. Good product, VERY PLEASED!
'Bought one in the spring of 2008, and am well pleased. IT IS SO QUIET; WE THOUGHT IT WAS NOT WORKING!!! We had a slight problem with the motor within the first month. Unreliable, poor quality GE product
We needed a new clothes washer - our old wirlpool washer was still working, but was leaking transmission fluid at the time.

Don't buy this GE washer!
