Pros Quiet, warm wash

We bought this washing machine 7 months ago. Our other washer was a cheap low end Roper model and the matching dryer kept breaking so we decided to replace them. This time we wanted to "get what we paid for" and get a slightly higher end washer.

This washing machine suddenly stopped spinning and agitating, after nine months. I contacted GE through their website and received a call from a local GE repair company. They came to the house the next day and quickly repaired the washer. The service man said these washers will stop if the... Read full review »

Pros The repairman came out the day after we called and was prompt.
Cons Our 13 month old machine is headed for the local landfill.
Recommended it? No

After 13 months of light use the washer started making loud clunking noises.  We called GE customer service and they came out the next day.  According to the repairman, the machine could not be repaired and needed to be replaced.  And because it was just over 1 year old, GE said it was not covered...
