Expensive and poorly designed
This GE French Door refrigerator is one of the most poorly designed (and most expensive) refrigerators we have ever had. Nice but beware...
This is a beautiful fridge - we really love it EXCEPT... when you've got the bottom freezer pulled out and you pull the ice drawer out (to get an ice cube) the ice maker thinks the ice is low and releases a load of ice to the floor of the freezer, which often spills/slides out onto the floor. I purchase a GE refrigerator 1 year ago and after 4 repair visits in the past 3 weeks, the refrigerator is still not working. Waste of money
We have purchased this refrigerator in 2006.
Since, we have had 3 replacement ice makers, and 2 door seal kits done on warranty. Now that the refrigerator is no longer on warranty, the ice make is broken again and the thermostat seems to be acting up.
