Not So Happy
Just found huge mold all over in the washing machine. Used bleach, hope I got it all. My clothes come out very wrinkled and knotted. I would not reccommend this product:( Read full review »
towels stink clothes do not get clean
This washer is beautiful but it will not get your clothes clean. The towels smell like mildew and GE is aware of this problem. Apparently water builds up in the outer tub and becomes stagnent and moldy then when it spins it gets into the inside basket on your clothes. I thought a clothes washer... Read full review »
Want my old washer back
I bought this w/d set because they were supposed to be water saving and were attractive. Within the first few loads I realized the clothes were feeling soapy when done. I ran another cycle with no soap, opening the lid after the water filled and was surprised to see very soapy water. I often have... Read full review »
Hate this time consuming, loud, clothes twisting monster
I hate this machine. You either let the machine decide how much water (not enough) or it is a full load, even if you are just tossing in a few things. When you let the machine choose, you will notice that a few articles of clothing end up plastered up against the drum, above the water line. The... Read full review »
It's Love!
After doing much research, I decided on the GE Profile Harmony. Since most stores didnt have it as a floor model, I did a special order and crossed my fingers for luck. I LOVE IT!!!!! So far, one of the best appliances I have. It has all special features that match the wash cycle to your article... Read full review »
THIS MACHINE IS TERRIBLE
FROM DAY ONE WE HAVE BEEN VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE PROFILE HARMONY WASHING MACHINE. THE ONLY THING IT DOES WELL IS THAT IT LOOKS NICE. THE CLOTHS COME OUT IN A TANGLED KNOT AND WHEN WE DO CHECK TO SEE IF THE MACHINE REMOVED ALL THE SOAP IN THE RINSE CYCLE WE FIND THAT THERE IS STILL SOAP LEFT IN... Read full review »
Very poor Quality- Do not Buy!
I bought this washer along with the dryer when we built our house back in Nov. 2005. At the time I was an employee of GE and got a great deal on the washer and dryer along with other Profile appliances.
The washer has always been fairly quiet, especially when compared to the older agitator...

General Electric Profile Harmony Washer
Don't buy this washer. It may not use a lot of water, but it almost takes ONE hour to wash a load of clothes - and that sure takes a lot of electricity! In addition, the wash cloths come out smelling rotten and the clothes are looking dirty to me. (By the way, there's just 2 of us in the household... Read full review »
GE Harmony - Not A Good Choice For Comforter
Now that I've had my washer and dryer for over 2 years, I feel as if I can really give an accurate description of the pros and cons of this washer. Bottom line it will get your clothes clean with less water but more time. But it will not again will not clean a queen or king size comforter. Once the... Read full review »
GE Profile Harmony Top Load Washer
I purchased one of these about a year ago. I like the large capacity and the way my laundry looks; however, there is one big drawback - these washers have an odor that appears after you have had them awhile. It is an obnoxious sulfuric smell, that seems to come from under the tub. I contacted the... Read full review »
Broken after 3 loads
My husband and I purchased a GE Profile washer and dryer a few weeks ago. It was delivered 8 days ago, since it had to be special-ordered.
Since we purchased it from Best Buy (which we'll not do again, long story) and there was a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, we decided to use it right...

Worlds Best Washer
I did a lot of research this time because i got tied of disappointments. I had a front loader because i was told it was more efficient than a top loader with the agitator.I bought the front loader and was not happy. It takes 70 minutes to wash cloths and you got to keep the seal bleached every... Read full review »
Clothes smell bad
My husband and I spent a lot of $$ purchasing what we thought was an efficient, top-notch washing machine. I feel I am wasting my time washing my clothes. The worst problem is the smell!!!!! After several months, I have noticed that ALL my towels and dishrags retain a sour smell. The moment you... Read full review »
A Top Notch Washer - Not Without Minor Problems
I'm told that LG makes this washer for GE and, as such, if you are a steadfast 'Buy American' type (like me), this may come as a suprise.
GE manufactures nearly all of their consumer washer line in a plant in Louisville, Kentucky. This washer, however, is a different beast - much to my...

Absolutely Awesome!!
After 30 years with my old Whirlpool super capacity plus, it was time for a new washer. I wanted something better. I didn't want an agitator, but I wanted top load because of a bad back. I read the reviews on Epinions, and despite a few bad reviews, I decided to take the plunge.
Wow, is...

READ BEFORE PURCHASE
We bought this machine a few years back. We loved it until the problems began...GE service DOES NOT know how to fix the problems and GE Managers do not care. We now own a $1000 machine that DOES NOT WORK. Service contracts are worthless. They have been out 7 times to fix the machine 4 for the same... Read full review »
Washer broke after just over a year
After just over a year the washer started making a ratcheting sound in agitation mode like it was skipping gear. GE service replaced a raft of parts that fixed that but now the washer makes a rattling sound in spin cycle. GE service technician said they can't do anything about the rattling sound... GE Profile Harmony Washer -- Is it cleaning my clothes or landing on a runway?
Update 11/14/2007:
So, now I've had my machine for a little over two years (actually, two years, two months and three days to be exact) and I bet you're wondering how it fares!
Let me say I still LOVE IT. It still works the same as the day I bought it and I've never had a repair...

Dryer is the best, Washer is washed up.
When Consumer Reports said this washer was hard on clothes, I thought, well how hard on clothes can it be? It's new agitator looked great and it seemed to sip water. I could not wait to see this washer in action as I am somewhat of a high tech junkie. The first thing that I observed was that it is... Read full review »
